The extra ability from the shard of hate, if the proc rate is anything other than complete crap, will do more damage than 19% cold damage.

Math would be if all your frozen spells (frozen orb) do 19% more damage, how many spells would you have to cast to do more than 1 proc (which would be 212%+Cold damage percent.) Using 212%, the proc would have to be greater than about 10% (not taking into account crit or anything because I don't feel like doing complicated math.) If it is 100% as mentioned, it is absolutely better (obviously roll a socket instead of life on hit.)
I would get socket for sure over the LoH. Also i can change to a lightning generator to proc the lightning side of it as well and use a thundergods vigor since theres no cold damage belt

Alkaizer has said on stream that he would use Shard over Thunderurry on his Barb. I just cant find any decent streaming wizards to ask their opinion on it and Jaetch is always afk when i try to message him =(

i just got this on my wizard. with int area damage and life on hit. i can roll the life on hit to socket for myself... how viable is it on a frozen orb wizard? what does that proc exactly do for a cold proc? would it be more worth giving to my friend that plays barb/monk? even though they cant get a socket on it.... trying to figure out where it would be best used. i have a azurewrath for my wizard with 18% cold damage... would losing that 18% be worth the proc on a frost wizard?

posted a message on Mystic; RNG is not RNG
    Quote from Zero(pS)

I've had crappy weapons for alternates roll sockets time and time again after only a couple rolls. I've spent about 25 Forgotten Souls trying to get a socket on a 2-hander that I found for my Crusader, and another 10 today trying to get a socket on a Serpent Sparker for my Wiz. Didn't get it on either.

So newsflash: RNG is RNG. More at 11.

Or if you wanna actually discuss whether there's some influence or bad coding there, we're gonna need some real and extensive data (either from datamining or long term data gathering), not random blabbing.
Thats all this guy does on the forums is spout random nonsense -.- getting tired of seeing his posts on the front page

    Quote from Charmcaster

^ Facepalm... You should probably take a break from grinding and get some fresh air, every post I see of yours tends to be full of bitter ignorance.

    http://www.diablohub.com/database/item/gloves-of-worship/information/

The minimum level this item can drop at is 12. Below you will find the range of stats found on the level 12 version, however the item can drop at any level above 12. The legendary effect does not change with level.

"does this drop in any difficulty?"

    "Yes."

The Gloves are also not on the official or unoffical list of Torment only legendaries. So you've just had bad luck OP. How many legendaries did you get from all the caches you opened?
Thanks for the confirmation on that guy being an idiot lol. I think between the cloak and shield i've gotten nearly 30 souls today.

The DH cloak and shield are both "new" legendary items, ive gotten DOZENS of them. In fact, someone got the gloves in my group as i was typing my original reply to you. Thanks for the info though -.- w/e the wrong info you gave may be worth. I'm definitely laughing pretty hard at this point.

Myself and a friend have been farming these for over 10 hours straight so far today on normal and in a group of 4. Only doing A2. Literally no one in our group has gotten the gloves. Has anyone that reads this definitely gotten a pair today? I kind of feel like this is an insanely long streak of bad luck for myself, my friend, and the various people that have some with us, to have not seen them. Could Blizz have possibly disabled them dropping until the bug is fixed on fleeting and empowered shrines and just not posted about it??? Would like to know if someone has seen them today :3

You're better off keeping the socket in case you ever play outside of frozen orb. Other builds with cool downs are pretty viable as well and may be a future option for you.

posted a message on Question About Potential Build Change
If you do roll for a socket, drop the 6% damage since that won't affect the holy damage roll on it, thus barely reducing the overall dps of the weapon. The LoH might not have a high value to you and how you play, but the 6% damage has a very low value no matter what.

posted a message on Having trouble getting better gear.
    Quote from Saphyron

As of right now I can without a doubt say im pretty unlucky with getting legendary's, and don't really understand how a wiz should be gearing (was mostly a barb before 2.0)

Unbuffed I am laying at these number and while I can faceroll torment 1 and do torment 2 I feel like I could be better
    http://i.imgur.com/5RTMLF8.jpg

I also have these 3 items I am trying to get proper rolls on but they are very expensive mats wise and starting to get expensive gold wise as well due to failed attemps. (blue mats I have shit ton of)
http://i.imgur.com/foOmxEP.jpg - cost 50 yellow mats 1 forgotten soul and 1 death breath per try
http://i.imgur.com/OHhkLt4.jpg - cost 11 yellow mats 1 forgotten soul and 1 flawless imperial topaz
http://i.imgur.com/52Bdicq.jpg - this one is cheap mats wise but I am up to 1,5m gold per try so don't know if i should hope for better drop or continue wasting gold.

I also fail to see how to make gold now in the game. Started out with 190m and almost halvway to empty.
As far as reforging your gear, if you're only short on items, just keep picking up rares to salvage. I went into RoS with 30m gold and between that and what I've earned since the release, I've managed to get 5 Royal Topaz in my gear and 1 Flawless Royal Emerald in my weapon and have rerolled plenty of my gear. Currently hovering around 20m gold, sometimes more, sometimes less. My gear is a good bit better and I can farm t2 rifts really fast, but I don't see why you should have any shortage of materials or gold, especially since you have 5x my current gold in your bags.

I feel like getting your gems crafted up is a huge step, but be careful with them and only put anything higher than Imperial Topaz in a piece of armor that you likely won't replace for a while. It could get pricey if you're pulling gems in and out of minor upgrades. I do find myself less worried about finding minor upgrades anymore. Gear wise, I pick up most of the yellows and blues that are near me, I never back track for them. I try to be as time efficient as possible.

Going back to what you should be farming in your gear, I speed run t2 rifts (5-7min runs generally) solo and have 1.3m dps buffed in game with 110% cold/arcane orb damage on my gear. Toughness wise, I have 1325 All Res with 1605 Phys Res and 1878 Lightning Res. I currently have ~7000 armor and only run 250,000 HP. Elites never really take me more than a full Arcane Power bubble to kill and whites are completely a non factor. I feel like I could easily do up to t4 in my gear, but would have a noticeably slower clear time.

As far as what you farm and how you gear, just play whatever is comfortable and enjoyable for you. Most of the time, most people could probably do a higher torment than what they farm, it's just usually not time efficient, so they farm something that seems somewhat easy. But like I said, make sure you're enjoying the game, that's that it's all about ^_^.
