while i have absolutely no loyalty to blizz and think the RMAH is a complete ripoff....i have no sympathy for you, OP. it's your fault for buying a virtual item knowing good and well that games like this get patched, nerfed, buffed, and changed again. this whole thing is your fault for buying the item with RM in the first place. in my opinion, you have no right to complain. my advice is do NOT buy items using the RMAH. problem solved.

yeah, i just happened to have more fire when i hit the 50's and started looking to up my resists with OWE. however....been looking at prices for lightning gear to switch to. i can't really think of anything lightning enchanted that strikes fear into my heart (or that of a barb). bidding against them for the other stuff sucks. poison, cold, fire, arcane, physical will all be popular for barbs i assumed.

I'm currently fire + all on my lvl 54 set and been debating switching to a cheaper alternative for my lvl 60 set. Just gonna be an awkward transition to piecemeal. Finding fire seems to be crazy expensive.
i realize the rule of thumb is people always suggest attempting to maintain a ratio where roughly 1 point of resist all = 10 points of armor. yet where does vitality fit in there? would it be something like.....

entangling shot to slow things down and impale to melt bad guys. since they're already slowed by the time impale hits em, it does the 250% dmg + 15% for slow effect to everything in a line. one or two impales will hit everything, since they're usually grouped up nicely. spider companion and caltrops make sure everything is slowed so essentially all my dmg is buffed a bit. works well for me in NM (only in my 30's obviously). but then again....i'm a noob that just likes to shoot stuff.
and the cheaper multi-shot is great for when i wanna toss arrows into the faces of a group of slowed mobs.

2) spell "poison" correctly
3) list arcane separately. can you even get holy resist? i don't recall seeing that.
