I would really love to see MF/GF affect the chests/jars/bodies etc again, at the moment I feel it's not worth the effort to go through and break them all open when it costs me durability (melee ftl) and hardly covers the costs.
wtf, do you like die ten times over while destroying jars? it barely costs durability and still drops a decent amount of gold...
on topic: mf should affect drop chance by jars and other stuff, maybe reduce the overall drop chance of items from jars in general, but if you carry a lot of mf you should profit from it.
especially because blizz argument was that switching in mf gear for breaking jars felt akward. agreed, but if they fix this issue they can easily revert the former change
but bloodthirst is not affected by the reduction, so the full 3% come to play, meaning if you hit for 60k you have a base heal of 1800, so 2500 crit heals kind amakes sense
Hi everyone, just found this wizard wand and was wondering if it is any worth (also selling it if anyone is interested)
I know the dps are quite low but the stats are not rolled that bad
tried to get a check via AH but since dps can offset stats rolled it was difficult to make a good judgment call (only item in the same dps range with comparable stats is 45 m and i doubt that this is worth so much...)
i have half your dps and less defense stats and i just finished act 3 alone pretty easy and allready made a good part of a4 (unluckily my connection started to suck again, 500 ms latency is just not working in inferno - so I am pretty confident that i can beat the game tonight...)
with the nerf thats not necceserily true anoymore, you can go more dps oriented, but then there are better slots to do that.
And if you have a lot of crit dmg crit% itself becomes more valuable than ias, so 6% ias is not THAT much anymore - still good. but spending 3 million and sacrificing other stats...not worth it imho
well, first off, if you only have 4k dps after finishing hell its fair to assume, you need a new weapon I had 10k dps with 2 250 dps 1h weapons (granted, that was self buffed with battle rage)
and you basically answered your question as well..the balance is important...after the patch it is all much easier and you don't need so much defense anymore, but general rule of thumb still applies...stack as much defense as you need to stay alive, rest is dps
how much dmg/def is possible just depends on the money you have stacked my advice for act 1 blues do fine as well...get one with resi all + high str and another piece with resi all + high vit...probably cheaper. most important for act 1...weapon..around 500 dps should suffice with enought strenght, the more the better for later acts you start stacking crit + crit damage as well as getting items with str + vit + resi all + other things
and yeah, dual wielding / 2h is fine ...maybe put in some loh
i finished act1 with 2.5 k dps...was NO fun at all, but doable...i would sugest aiming at roughly 6-7 k dps
yeah i agree, with you i think the next expansion will improve a lot of things (i still enjoy the game anyhow, haven't beaten inferno yet :))
The thing is with d2 you always found SOMETHING in a short amount of time, since the items where all the same you had a "currency" list and an idea of how much an item is worth. so even if it was a semi good item you knew it is worth like 10 pg and you were a little closer to your overall goal.
now you have gold instead, but there is barely a standard like soj were you can measure your item against, there is no standard stat conversion like 100 str = 100k gold or something like that. and since prices still vary a lot you are afraid / you have the feeling your are ripped off, in a way trading has become more easily but more difficult at the same time if yu know what i mean in d2 you had 1 nice item, traded it, done. now you have like 20 semi good items try to sell them for low money to buy buy 1 good upgrade. and with the ah restrictions in place atm it takes too much work. but thats an itemiztaion issue, belongs to the other thread not here and also this will settle over time, with so many players you just need a lot of time until things settle, with the next xpac everything should be fine
