well, i got bored of breadth of heaven build, i've mostly use it for the dps but not the heal, i saw a build way back in the beginning of 1.04 similar to this, so i thought of adding in combination strike to the plate to see how it goes
its not really that complex, u just have to get the rythm of this build, from wothf, u get 15% ias and 15% run speed buff, main attack as FoT, if you constantly rotate between the 2, u will always get 16% increase dmg from combination strike, 15% ias in my opinion is very good for sustain, i run around 850 loh and 2.7 ls, with 60k dps unbuff 80 k with full buffs, i can leech the healh back in the matter of seconds
if u need any extra heal, just increase ur dps by using blinding flash so u do more dmg and leech more life
granted that this build is requires u to press more than 1 button, but i just kinda got bored of pressing 1 button 99% of the time with the standard build
the market is fun to play with, and its more efficient to play the market than the game, so u can get upgrades to beat the game, that is for pre 1.05 (most likely not the case after patch 1.05 because there's more chance to drop an item that u can sell for, say, 100m), this might not be the case after 1.05 though, I already found an item that sold for 150m on AH, so i have budget upgrade my character
according to technical analysis, the price of the market depends on the confidence level of the investors, for instance how many ppl try to enter the market (buy items) versus how many ppl leave the market (sell items), if more ppl believe that the items are gonna drop in value, the price will go down, seems like that's the case, ppl believe in this way because legionaries are way more common than 1.04
after a while, when legionaries are so common, many believe that the market will crash, and only the best of the best perfect rolls will sell
Questions:
1. pickup radius still useful right now, if u were to farm MP4 or 5
2. whats a good price to get a WKL that has good rolls and around 900 dps or slightly less on US region
I thought the same thing you did that prices would inherently go down due to more drop rates, and better drops (all over il58 now). You would assume that a ton of better gear, people will undercut and prices will drop for good stuff.
However, I don't think this is going to happen. I actually think the opposite will occur (prices will go up):
1. Monster power giving gold find.
2. all drops are over il58 now so vendoring blues and yellows gives more gold than before
3. there may be a new plateau with rings and ammys with il63 stats, but that wouldn't drop il62 ones
Everyone will have more gold from normal play, so the market might stabilize at a higher baseline level than it already is. Prices will not go down because the amount of gold everyone is getting will increase. Something worth 5m gold before might be prices at 7-10 now just because you need more gold for it to reflect its "true value".
True value to me is how long it would take to obtain that much gold, it would take less work to get 5m gold now than it did in 1.04, now the same amount of time might yield 7-10m gold. It is like inflation, everyone is "printing" more gold, so prices have to go up to match the value of the items.
so u r thinking of, ppl will anticipated that items will drop in value, they will try to sell their stuffs, but then inflation happens later on, and the market will go back up after a while? hmm interesting, that's what happened back then in 1.03
hm.. guess i ll wait, unless i can get a steal price
what do u think of pickup raidus? is it as needed as 1.04? because in 1.04, it was under the assumption that elites die real fast and u can run with low loh because u get globes constantly, but it might not be the case in for instance, mp5
Background on current progression:
-just killed MP6 uber last night, farms MP5 ubers
-able to solo MP5 contents, with few deaths
-able to farm MP4 contents comfortably
gears that I want in mind:
-a higher EPH belt or shoulder
-a well rolled WKL, dilema here is that the price will drop further within 2 weeks, thus its uncleared if its a wise move
-rings with 6% crit + stats?
what are the general concensus here?
1. legendaries drop like candies and price will go down further after 2 weeks
2. ppl are selling whichever good drops they find, thus, driving the market price down, and the market is constantly adjusting itself to the anticipated market value
3. highly rolled rares/legs./sets price will go up in 2 weeks, since ppl are selling it at an under-valued price right now, but the long term demand for those will go up
I'm pretty sure everyone would like more randomization
Although some people don't seem to enjoy this as much as your average diablo fan. People desperately want an "efficient farming route", instead of a "let's see what happen today" feeling.
I do understand the efficient farming route notion, but if your going to be playing a game for a very long time then i dont see how variation can be bad. it also adds an element of realism, not knowing what's coming next, which is excellent when contrasted by the regularity of farming.
I am a little disappointed with the amount of randomness which the game currently has, although the random quests and events plus the random dungeons which only occasionally spawn hint at the possibilities of what could be done.
They need to add a non random mode, so if u check this mode, all maps will be static. I hate farming in, for instance craters, usually you just waste most of the time walking, so I usually skip
what I would do as my farming route is, skip all random maps, clear all static maps, then reset game
stonefort, rankis crossing, tower of damn 1 2, tower of curse 1 2, all the way to azmodan
I just hate places like keep level 1, 2, 3, or crater 1, 2
lol wow, so your ideal map would be like a hallway, or spiral that never changes, or maybe even a room where monsters continually spawn untill you've had your fill.
I find the idea of game which is designed so it can be efficiently farmed to the maximal extent quite ludicrous tbh.
Uniformity yields Efficiency.
Diversity is inefficient but exciting.
ideally yes, u minimize the walking distance, no need to walk to waste time, then its always full screen of mobs like rankis crossing etc, even if theres no elite, but mobs dying continuously will be interesting for sure
ya, i hate random, farming in this game is already cumbersome anyways, since most of the farmed loots are garbage, should make it such that identify is not needed, so then if u mouse over the crap loot, and u can choose to not pick it up
I'm pretty sure everyone would like more randomization

i like attack speed, it just looks more fun, if u keep rotation between fot and wothf, then all dps buff wont ever fall off
i have 24% movement speed, plus 15% from wothf buff, to a total of 39% more movement speed most of the time
my attack sequence is, start with fot, then use wothf for 3 stacks, use fot again, then blinding flash + sweeping wind, to maximize SW dps
to maximize ur dps after SW is up, u'd stack up wothf to 3 stacks, then keep using fot until wothf buffs about to fall off, or it it does, refresh the stacks again, do fot, rinse and repeat
the catch here is that in a group game, my buddies are not able to catch up to me at all
u gain 16% from using FoT and WothF, then 15% attack speed from WothF rune, so in this build, u constantly swich between Fot and wothf to maximze ur dps, breadth of heaven is no longer needed as u get more dps and loh + attack speed

is pickup radius still useful considered that mobs have more hp at higher MP, and we are gonna need more sustain anyways.

my favorite right now is rankis crossing and bridge, since theres like full screen of mobs waiting to be killed
