Use them on your follower, mainly the Templar.

Get a high Legacy Sunkeeper, a high MF shield (think 20% is max on legacy shields), a 2.0 Nagelring (50% max) and maybe a Legacy one or rare/blue (20% max). Also some legacy necks had up to 50% MF, not found any with anything like that in 2.0.

Now granted you only get 20% or so of the followers MF and then 10% of that is for legendaries, however most of the timet eh follower is useless for anything other than being an MF carrier (my enchantress is doing 90k DPS in DPS gear right now but no MF, Templar is doing around 15k but with MF). You just need to use the right follower for what you want to do. EXP farming? Get your DPS follower, item hunting? Get your MF follower.

Using MF yourself will gimp you way too much currently, least in my opinion. Faster clears are prety much always better as well as not dieing.

It's dead sadly, he may be waiting for RoS release before doing an update however as stuff could still be in flux for up to a month after official release.

That or he has gotten sick of D3, who could blame him though, it did get pretty boring pre 2.0.

I do have 119% magic find. But that shouldnt count for that much. Blizzard nerfed it i think. Friends of mine get shitloads from Arreat aswell. We only kill elites and loot all chests. T1-2

4 out of 5 drops for me is rings tho. That is something im considering contacting blizzard about. Cant be like this
119% magic find translate to 11.9% increased chance of finding a legendary.

And don't contact Blizzard about RNG like "4 out of 5 drops are rings". I bet they sometimes print those mails and read them to each other when they're having an after work beer. Sure as hell I would. It's RNG... I got 5 two-handed weapons in a row, once, an entire evening of loot full of rubbish. R.N.G.
This is past rng at this point. Me and 2 friends of mine have get about 3 rings before getting something else. Usualy a 2 hander. Since the release of 2.0.1 i have not got bracers, gloves, boots or pants. Ive got a few helms and weapons. And over 100 rings. I know about Rng and that it can be a bitch. But when you log on each day and know that you gonna find atleast 5 rings. And it comes true every single time. Then its not rng anymore
Nope, it is the definition of RNG. If EVERYBODY was getting 80% rings then you would contact blizzard. I mostly get weapons, have only seen like 2 rings and 6 armors but have gotten like 30 weapons.
I have to agree. I am yet to see an amulet, wrists or shoulders, however I'm swimming in 2 hand enchantress weapons that I can use starting from level 30 or so, kind of nuts.

Actually I lie, just remembered I got some wrists whilst leveling my wizard last night, but still out of almost 2 tabs of legendary, only 1 wrist bit? Ah well...RNG is RNG and they will be useless in just over a weeks time anyways.

posted a message on Upcoming Auction House Shutdown: What should I Sell? What Should I Keep?
People seem to want to stockpile old crafting mats.

The reasons could be one of the following:

1: Not going to buy RoS thus getting top tier gems will be a royal PITA, thus sinking 'useless' gold into something usable.

2: Same as above but for crafting mats like Brimstones that can be tricky to get hold of in large quantities

3: On a crafting binge to try and get that trifector pair of gloves or that godly neck (uses gems and crafting mats)

4: Wanting to roll their 2.0 gear with enchanter come RoS (not sure if 2.0 gear can be enchanted, didn't have beta access)

5: Just wanting to make sure they have a stockpile for a LONG time should new xpacs come out and introduce new characters or what have you so easy crafting of gear as they level.

6: Crafting Crusader gear to speed up 1-60 should the RNG gods hate them.

Also keep in mind loads of people have billions of gold by now, thus 100 mill spent on old crafting materials is nothing to them.

Personally I'm unloading all my 'useless' stuff now and getting my gold asap because it will be needed come RoS and I can see me spending more than I make, atleast in the first month, thus having a stockpile will be VERY handy.

posted a message on Ability to BUY extra character slots and stash tabs.......
I find it weird that Path of Exile gives you unlimited storage (at a slight cost sure) to store your hundreds/thousands of bits of loot, yet Blizzard seems to be incapable of allowing us that.

One new tab will fill up in a few days of playing, maybe a week or two at tops. This is due to the insane frequency of legendary drops we are getting now vs what we where getting previously. Extra character slots is merely a band-aid for the real problem that is storage. I understand server load etc but come on. Hell make it a real money purchase or a VERY rare world drop for bank tabs, just the option to get moer room would be nice.

posted a message on Guartanteed Legendary from Diablo...worth resetting quests now?
true it doesnt change anything in the grand scheme. What I meant was do people find it better to farm say Keep Depths 1-3 + Larder constantly for levels + loot or do the reset dance?

Sorry I wasn't clear, only just got up and saw the patch notes.

Pretty much as the topic says. I have been doing a full run through of the game on my WD and resetting to get the guaranteed legendary from the Skeleton King, then just public playing my way through the rest of the game and resetting.

During a full run through I would get on average 2-4 legendaries per act at torment 3 +1 from SK. Now with it being from Diablo, is it worth resetting for that guaranteed or just grind out in Keep Depths or your favorite grinding spot?

Dude, LoH is nothing once you get enough dmg... All you need is a high LL mod on your belt and/or OH weapon

    stop being such a noob

Yeah sorry, Im a noob :/. I got enought dmg already, 94k unbuffed with my WW barb and you tell me LoH dosnt matter? Yeah keep dreaming :)

And yeah i found a LoH rolled one but meh. I rather not gear to much on my weapon choises on my barb. Only armor, but kinda hard to top them aswell. :)

If you don't use a spreadsheet you could just approximate the dps bonus to offhand by adding 10% of your overall dps. At 94k dps thats a 10k bonus for you!

That's assuming its got exactly the same stats as the weapon it's replacing, which it wouldn't have.

Honestly for a WW barb it would be nice, but I doubt it's as good as everyone is making out. I would prefer my 260 strength/974 LoH/99 Crit/socket/1k DPS mace and my dagger with strength/crit/LoH/socket over this weapon, even if it may give more character sheet DPS.

After all when I swapped to my dagger I dropped 15k DPS on the sheet, but kill stuff much faster (dagger has 300 DPS or so compared to the 800 DPS sword with much worse stats) due to how the speed interacts with sprint.

Guess everyone to their own. I also like rares over legendaries due to a lower chance of them being nerfed with knee jerk reactions by the devs (like I suspect Sever will be soon).

posted a message on Is it even worth crafting anymore?
In all honesty it all comes down to WHAT your actually making. A lot of the 6 prop items never sell or take a long time to sell, even with good rolls due to having to contend with ilvl63 gear rolling on a higher tier. Also the weapons where 99% of the time a total waste. Sometimes you would get a 'near miss' that you could sell to a WW barb for their off hand for a few mill, but chances are it won't happen.

The main sellers are the same sellers as before the patch. The general rules for gambling apply to crafting so here goes:

    - Only invest if your prepared to write off the entire investment once it's been done.

    - Never EXPECT profit

    - Be prepared to not get anything good for possibly hundreds of crafts.

I've made 25 mill+ profit on crafting since the patch with more profit today that I've not added.

posted a message on Gear check for a Shield/tank Monk
The gem effects both the base EXP from a mob kill and the EXP bonus from items. If you have +100 exp from items and a 31% exp gem, you get 131 exp per kill bonus. If the mob gave 100 exp also (hypothetically) you would get 262 exp total.

posted a message on Barb gearing question (sword + board non-tank)
    Hello all.

I have just gained the possession of a 500+ LoH/5%+ Crit/150+ Strength ammy and am thinking of dropping my LoH weapon (has 774) and go fora more offensive weapon with 100+ crit damage mod.

Now I know I could plug it into the EHP/DPS calc and it can spit out which weapon is better and all that jazz, but for a more realistic situation, I need some feedback here. Mainly if I drop 200ish LoH, 1.5% crit and 45% crit damage for 100+ strength and roughly 80-100 crit damage...how would it effect my survivability in act 3? As in, do people rely on LoH for heals when farming or just spam the hell out of that revenge button like a crack addict going into withdrawal?

I would test it myself, but all my weapons have LoH 600+ that have decent DPS (800+).

Any thoughts or opinions? I would love to get a LoH/100+ crit damage weapon, but they are over 50 mill gold and that would almost wipe me out.

    Cheers

posted a message on Barb weapon speed question
    Hello all.

I have been wondering something lately and I think I know the answer but would like it confirmed either way for me.

I run my barb using Frenzy + Sidearm as my basic attack. Now that has a built in IAS as we all know per stack up to the 5 stacks of 75% IAS. Now my question is, does this make weapon attack speed worth less?

For example going from a 1.4 sword to a 1.2 mace/spear wouldn't make a large difference would it besides the build up time? Granted you would get less LoH/LL procs but with the higher attack speed granted by frenzy stacks you would still be gaining procs pretty rapidly compared to other classes.

So does base weapon attack speed really matter for a barb from a purely DPS stand point (don't want LoH/LL procs to muddy the waters)? I know IAS on gear is still a good stat and I'm not saying otherwise, just going by the base weapons attack speed.

    Thanks in advance
