wut would be so bad about mmo d3?
I seriously think the 8 people room for diablo is very outdated
Personally I just hate MMPORPGs. I think they are all the SAME FUCKING GAME. They're desolated, poorly designed. Plus, Diablo 2 had the immersion an MMPORPG could only dream to have. The music, the characters, hell!, even the plot was great. The cinematics...oh god the cinematics were like movies to collect. All that could be ruined by a bunch of assholes jumping around in the map to move faster or because they're just bored, plus some idiot killing NPCs to make extra EXp and that dull fighting system used in Online games. Fighting in WOW is so boring. Massive Multiplayer Online Games don't need a great development. They dont need a great story or background story. All they need is a huge empty repetitive world, 100 clische skills and being caped at level 700. That's the formula. The rest, the good part, the part that really shows the effort of a programmers and artist's team, is in the player's mind. Great way to make money easily. Let's hope they invest that money in Diablo III.
P.S.: Btw, this is a list of A-RPGs I've been playing lately.:
Diablo
Diablo II
Sacred
Titan Quest Immortal Throne
Divine Divinity
Beyond Divinity
Seal of Evil
Throne of Darkness
Blade & Sword
Shadowflare
Harbinger
Space HAck
FATE
Restricted Area
Dawn of Magic
I'm looking for other good A_RPG/ Hack and Slash gaming experience.
Have any title in mind??
I dont know about the magazine but the screenshot is from a game called "Dawn of magic", I have it. It's also known as "The dawn of magic"
And yeah it's not a "dark" concept like diablo. which sucks if you ask me.
What was that "thing" Diablo 2 had, which made you addicted to it??
For me, it was the fact that it didn't fall in the old fashioned "Goblins", "Ogres", Lord-of-the-ring-+-Dungeons-and-Dragons stuff. Instead, you encounter much more original enemies like shamans and the like. Or for instance, Blood Raven. Besides, its music, so original and cool created a mist of unknown things to come. The game was unpredictable, not like most RPGs, where you know what's coming next. I hope Diablo III is like it in that way.
I definetly wouldn't want to see Diablo III center in using several characters at the same time. I hate that, I rather see good AI.
And I know it doesn't belong to this thread but, what I think would be interesting is one thing I saw in Titan Quest. The idea of different elevation levels on the terrain. Which allows you toi see enemies on the distance. That's cool.
