I don't know. Heaven vs. hell could work, but in reality... How?
World of Warcraft has a realistic war going on, the more human, civil races, vs the orcish, more brutal races.
In Heaven vs. Hell it'd be angels and demons, so race would be out of the picture. Then, class... It'd just be plain classes like in Diablo II.
I think if anything it should just be a big MMO of you playing the heroes going to bring down Diablo. Built like WoW, where the story progresses through certain dungeons, but more restricted than WoW, so you have to do certain quests to progress... Something like that.
If it was heaven vs. hell what would the main bosses be? Diablo for hell and Tyrael for Heaven? Don't think it'd work.
