Thanks for the share, seems fun, i have always wanted to give both Evasive fire and Strafe a use. Will try it
However, I do not understand the reason for Night Stalker, i have never seen a good use for it :/ I have never noticed any actual difference between using it or not

Then again, is Vault/Cinders higher dps than Caltrops/Jagged Spikes?
Yes and No, If you put down 10 Caltrops... Caltrops will have more damage, but, at what cost?
Caltrops has 45% weapon damage per sec for 6sec at the cost of 6 disc. Vault has 500% weapon damage per sec for 3sec at the cost of 8 disc :P.
The thing is with the area (it's too small), or in the case where they don't follow you right up (The 3sec duration).

I use vault just like if I didnt have cinders, I use it only when they are right on my ass, then I use it to get away and they follow the path.. Unless there is a barb in my party, then I can move around and feel like a god O.o

Hm, Vault/Cinders feels more damaging for me an it triggers LoH and I replaced Caltrops with Vault. Feels not bad and makes gameplay more dynamic compard to Caltrops.

Just looking for a good replacement for my nades, atm I use HA, but it feels not good for me, tried Bola Shoot Acid but same.
Indeed it feels a lot more dynamic, and fun :P

Bola shot [Acid Strike] is pretty bad imo. To me the best rune for bola shot is the [Volatile Explosives] for its increased area. I actually tried a tanky build pre 104 with bola shot instead of nades, and it succeeded with [Volatile Explosives], but I personally don't play a DH to be a tank hehe.

Thanks. I spent a while using Fire at will even pre-nerf cause I am a very nostalgic person aswell :P but still, without the ability to spam as much, it still doesnt feel right :3
I still like a Multishot a lot, but it feels very weak : /

And about RoV, yep, I never liked the ability because of the fact that it requires you to be in the middle of things and I felt the same way you did with the stun. It was kinda tricky. But with the buffed Dark Cloud, you don't have to wait to use, and since 30sec is a pretty short CD. And its duration is almost half the time its on CD.

Hello everyone, just wanted to share my build, since I know that a lot of people struggle to find a decent build, maybe I can help someone out or someone can give me better ideas about it :)

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Xailoh-1776/hero/733907

I share Bola Shot [Volatile Explosives] and Cluster Arrow [Loaded for Bear] for Aoe and Single targeting.
Single target doesnt happen very often in the game, and for those few times the bola shot and cluster arrow can handle them very efficiently. They also do very good in AoE, I rotate those two for both aoe and single target.

To get away from stuff I use the Vault. Now, i used to have the Acrobatics rune but, to be honest, most of the time you wont really need to doble vault away from enemies, and if you do, its because they are extra fast and they will still be on your ass.
So with the recent buff on Trail of Cinders, I use it offensively aswell, but not directly. I almost never go in with vault for the damage, cause it will most likely get me into a bad place because I am no tank.
This way when enemies follow you you will be doing TONS of damage, without spending so much disc like it happens with Caltrops [Jagged Spikes]. It's also more fun to run away with vault than to caltrops and walk backwards :)

And for those packs that no matter what, they will be on your ass, I use Shadow Power [Gloom]. No explanation here.

Preparation [Invigoration] is a personal favorite, since I used it for the first time, I fell in love with it, and I feel it is required.

Now, Since I already have both of my Ohshit buttons, my aoe and single target, and my preparation, and I still have 1 skill left, I wasnt sure what to put there, and I decided to give Rain of Vengeance [Dark Cloud] a try. I don't like the other runes cause you have to be in the middle of everything for them to be effective, and its too expensive to vault in and out just for the sake of it. The rune that stuns still aint that versatile. [Dark Cloud] changes target, and deals a decent damage, and :itsFREE:
Since I there isnt anything else to actually fit in, I tried it, and I reallised that it is very good.

Companion [Bat] Isn't that useful since I attack faster and the regen doesn't feel like a change at all. Plus of the fact that the companions sometimes get bugged and just stand in place doing nothing.
Sentry requires you to spend a lot of disc to put drop it every time you move away from its range, so its pretty bad in my opinon.
Fan of Knives could be there and seems like a good idea for this build, but haven't tried it yet.

I use the Tactical Advantage Passive because... the name even says why, I want the tactical advantage of being able to move faster when I use my vault.

My gear isn't great, so, dont think that this build works cause I am overgeared for the content. I farm all of act 3, except for the places with Hulking Beasts, I just can't stand those, I hate them >.>

Haven't tried this spec in groups yet, but I think that maybe I would change the Rain of Vengeance for Elemental arrow [Lightning Bolt] or Chakram [Twin Chakrams], for better AoE.

Thanks for reading, I hope someone finds it useful :P or maybe someone has a better idea.

Really think 2x1h is going to be good.

can easily reach 400% crit dmg with sockets.
    can obtain 60 max discipline.

and passive to give around 25-30% crit chance

aswell as the fast attack speed.

Like that thing is buy-able.. lol... cant even find something past 150 crit dmg on the ah :P

posted a message on Higher than 50k dps DH without SS
At the end, it all comes to what you enjoy the most... I was running at about 200k damage with sharpshooter, but sold that gear, I do not think its fun really.. You do kill everything very fast, but... Being 1 shot by the weakest unit makes me want to punch my cat and feed my dog with babies...

I sold my gear, and bought enough to be to tank something.
I really like this new gear, it was expensive, and I am still missing several pieces... but as it is right now, to me it has paid off. I can take 1 hit from every monster in act3. And you guys might think its nothing, and that the difference between dying in 1 hit and dying in two is minimal.. But it really isnt. with 200k dps I used to take about 40mins to complete my siegebreaker runs. Now it takes about 30.. even with my low dps.

Why? because I don't die.. You build like a tank, but you play like a glass cannon, and you will rarely die... My death ratio used to be, maybe 10 times or more per run, now its an average of 1 death every 2 runs...

To me, it was worth it :)..

BTW: Last night I was playing with another DH in Act2. It was hilarious, as I was always up front, haha I was tanking for him, most units take like 4-6 hits to kill me, which, as DH is a lot. Plus having 800 life on hit really pays off with all of our AOE :P

solution: dont play a4 inferno with a weapon that has 10k crits
    ...

10k crits due to their shield

TBH my best solution was to farm a3 instead of a4... A4 monsters are too annoying to be honest.
Oppressors with that instant charge that 1shots you... Angels with another charge that 1shots you, and the armored things that fall from the sky have increased movement speed just by being elite... I hate it.

Sadness... dualwielding hand Xbows is so awesome, and yet it is so useless... Wish they buffed dual wielding
    -
To be honest, I do think that 2h Xbow deals the most damage. however, I hate the slow attack speed... I really hate it, and I wont ever use 2h xbow. But it has higher dps.

    Quote from Kodachii

With all the IAS everyone stacks end game I'd be surprised if people could really stutter step a full IAS set of gear with a bow or hand crossbow set. You'd probably get yourself killed more than it would save you, having more mobility from quicker attacks.

I can get a full 2.40 ias stutter step...

I go with the glass cannon / magic find build. I have about 170mf with about 80k damage w/ SS. My glass cannon without magic find build is at 101k damage.

I recommend just going glass cannon. I've never really seen a DH survive a hit unless you have ridiculous resist/hp which makes your damage ridiculously low.

Glass cannon build for solo and team play.

46k hp, 240-360 resists, 66k dmg without sharpshooter.
I can take 1 hit from most mobs 2 from many in act3/4 (maybe not 2hits in act 4)
Just try to balance them all out.

the thing is, maybe if you go 4 pure dmg, you can kill them 50-100% faster. killing them faster there is less space 4 mistakes or just bad luck... so i dont think being a 2 hit target is worth loosing dmg :/

not necessarily, you can find gear with excellent dps and also excellent survivality, the thing is.... That gear is very expensive, and in a lot of cases, selling that item will grant you the chance to increase your dps is your gear is bad...
