I'm sure you're setup works too Winkle but act3 is fine with 20k dps and WotB if you have a bit more defensive stats, the only reason you get away with your low resists is your high dps and maybe some more life regen to counter the damage?
Its either higher defenses or higher dps both work.

Jul 14, 2012You have 2 problems, resists should be around 1k fire/physical maybe even a little higher to do it comfortably. If you're picture is unbuffed you're close. Second problem is life regen, should be around 700-800 minumum preferably a little higher.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
I'm doing act3 with 9,7k armor 1k resists fire/physical at 1100, 50k hp, 700 life per second (good alternative if you cant find life on hit). Using a 2H and at 27k dps, act3 is doable with 18k dps but its so much nicer around 30k dps that way you can destroy champ packs with 1 WotB.
Spec looks good, I use 7 sec ignore pain instead of threatening shout. And instead of superstition I use a dps passive or inspiring presence. You might want to try out inspiring presence or get some life regen on chest/belt/boots/shoulders its pretty cheap on the AH, or get some life on hit instead but that's more expensive usually.
Jul 13, 20122hander: Higher weapon damage good for seismic slam, revenge, overpower, furious charge etcPosted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
Dual wield: 2 sockets and a 15% attackspeed bonus, good for abilities that scale with attackspeed like cleave/frenzy/bash but also whirlwind.
Sword and board: Can get a nice amount of stats on the shield, up to 10% crit and a nice amount of all ress, vitality, strength and %life. Plus you only need 1 good weapon instead of 2 for dual wield. For comparison the ~1k armor from the shield is about the same as the passive nerves of steel so you could take 1 more offensive passive instead.
Life leech becomes viable at higher dps levels and with aoe like seismic slam, life on hit is better in almost every other situation.

I know I went pretty far into the other side of things now, kinda just sick of having to buy everything to even have a chance, and yet have no way of generating a decent gold income >.<
The only item I possibly afford now is a new belt, I have a bid on one that will raise my VIT and RA but lose some STR, but 600k and 8hours to go, I don't think I will win it.
Let me help you with that. Act1 farming is for most people far superior to act3 farming, you can kill mobs much faster and can even make a magicfind set if you want. Its decent amount of gold and sometimes you find a decent item as well. It can get a bit boring but until you have really great gear its the most efficient.
As far as auctions go I find that bidding in the last minute is the way to go if you want to win, else you're just a sitting duck waiting to get overbid.
Jul 9, 2012Great guide, I'm using a Hierophant's Seal with 68 strength as random stat and really love it.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
There is 1 thing I noticed the other day is that damage modifiers work additive instead of multiplicative. For example frenzy maniac, weapon master sword, wotb insanity, berserker rage would be +160% damage(20+15+100+25) instead of +245% if it would have been multiplicative. Do you know if things like +damage against demons or +frenzy/bash damage work additive as well?
Jul 6, 2012bigbad posted a message on Is it still possible to do a complete fresh clear of Act 3/4 as a 2H barb? Why wouldn't it be possible to clear something as 2H when they did it before? Not like they nerfed the spec or buffed mobs or something.....Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
Looking at your stats I would suggest trying the 2 armor passives and see how it goes with that. I can clear act3 fairly easy with 2H and defensive passives. Just needs some proper use of leap/ignore pain. I only have 25k dps in the process of getting more dps without sacrificing other stats.
Jul 2, 2012It's difficulty to give stats a value since you want a certain balance between offense and defense and depending on your spec and the group you play with you might want more defensive or offensive stats. Also the value of the stat depends on the amount of stats you already have.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
Might be an idea to have stats valued based on itemslot? Sockets are worth more on helm/weapon for example and not all items can have crit/critdamage which are the 2 main dps stats beside strength.
I'll leave out the worthless stats and most weapon affixes since you just want high dps mainly.
Gold_PickUp_Radius 0.1 (I just like 1 item with it)
Block_Chance_Bonus_Item 1 (depends if you use a shield or not, only a few items that are not a shield have it)
Jun 30, 2012bigbad posted a message on Spent 30M on barb gear-hitting a wall in act 3,advice plsYour first build with ignore pain instead of overpower and 2nd armor passive should work. If you leap(4secs)>ignore pain(7 secs)>leap(4secs) you should be able to handle anything. 3rd passive could be inspiring presence for some extra heals but since your loh looks great a dps passive as 3rd is probably best. Getting your resists upto 1k and armor upto 11k might help but I'm sure that after 1.0.3 act3 should be easy with your stats.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
Jun 28, 2012Cyzlak 33 more dexerty would give you 3,3% more dodge (1% every 10 dexerty until 100 and 1% every 40 dexerty until 500). Really getting dexerty to 100 at least is best after that its still decent but other stats are better.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
Jun 27, 2012bigbad posted a message on iLVL means nothing in this game? Blizzard Trolling? You can craft 62 items with 6 affixes, pretty sure 61/62 items can drop with more affixes as well. Higher level items can get more value on the affixes though.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
Jun 27, 2012From what i understand 100 dexerty is 10% dodge 500 dexerty is 20% dodge 1000 dexerty is 30% dodge and 2000 dexerty is 40% dodge. Correct me if I'm wrong though. Having at least 100 dexerty is nice after that it scales worse and other stats are better, still is decent if you have it as extra stat on a piece but don't go out of your way for it.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
Jun 24, 2012Bloodthirst is very weak rather take the armor bonus or inspiring presence. What works for me is WotB with leap+ignore pain defensively and just kite with the help of leap if needed. I'd stick with frenzy and focus one down if you have troubles, once you overgear stuff and can easily take em down cleave is an option.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
Maybe grab a piece with all resist+fire resist, my resists are a bit higher but i play with a 2H fire stuff just hurts.
