    I have been using spike traps for my main 'burst/nuke' attack from pretty much the get go - now about to finish act IV inferno. Surprised no one uses them more, ideal kiting tool and serious annihilation if your damage and crit are high.

    I currently use a rare 148 dex with 2 sockets at 40 dex each, but really want something with higher max disc. or disc. regen, All well and good good having firepower but discipline is so necessary in inferno.

    Reflect damage are really easy given kiting room - Smokescreen/Prepartion removes any real challenge. invulnerable minions on the other hand - particularly fast ones - are a real bitch. I've taken to a tactic where I separate the adds and 'boss', die and then go kill 'boss' on his own :D

    Also when kiting, find something to run in circles around - so much win. In addition, my build for inferno has hungering arrow + spike traps/scatter + caltrops/jagged spikes as my offensive abilities. Spike traps kiting is amazing \o/

    I did this yesterday quite easily - I have decent but not amazing gear and only using a modest 740 damge X-Bow. Got the brief butchering achi obviously and didn't have any major issues. Used elemental arrow/tentacles & hungering plus SS/vault/strafe/sentry.

    After charge I would move close-ish to him to 'force' multi-chains and SS to avoid.

    Depends on your build of course, but stacking +crit damage, dexterity and attack speed where possible is working really well for me. I use sharp shooter/2h X-bow and my other passive talents - specific encounters aside - are steady aim and archery. I'm steaming through Inferno Act I at the moment and feel my damage is certainly more than required at this stage. Obviously the requirements ramp up quickly so will post more as and when i find it out.

    Also - I'm having great success with a build that incorporates spike traps/scatter and strafe/rocket storm. No one seems to mention these but they have been a mainstay for me all the way through hell and now almost at the end of Act I Inferno. When the three traps go off in the middle of a pack of mobs it literally decimates them all. Also nice you can place traps across gaps / form range :D

    I'm halfway through act I on Inferno - apart from bosses the only reason I use smoke screen is for these! Trick is to be good at kiting and only damage when screened. Spiked traps are particularly good for this.

    I'll post a guide/fraps when I get some time!

    I remember loading cassettes on my spectrum, waiting 20 minutes patiently and then a load error, start again.... I don't care if I sound like an old man, people these don't know what they have! Back in my day etc etc

    I'm now mid act IV also on nightmare and a while ago I started going for dexterity/vitality gear - at level 51, currently have 3.5k damage and 14.5k HP - more than enough so far, I cut through like a knife through warm butter. By using the AH you should be able to find a happy medium of HP and DPS - and a bit of luck on drops too!

    I use caltrops/jagged spikes, hungering arrow/devouring, fan of knives/hail of knives, vault/tumble, strafe/rocket storm and alternate between elemental arrow ball/frost. Passive I have Sharp Shooter/Vengeance/Steady Aim. I love strafe, being able to fire and move makes things so much easier - hoping I can continue with it in Hell/Inferno!

    Definitely good to have HP - solo'd Diablo on normal with 1200HP - felt harder than normal but probably good prep for harder levels!

    I feel the same - the game is amazing and a few problems at launch and things to be tweaked going forwards are to be expected. I honestly don't what people expect, and I'm sure that it's an (unfortunately) vocal minority doing the QQ'ing. I have been playing solidly since release and have absolutely zero complaints so far.

    Also, I like the AH - had an eBay style bidding war when I spotted something OP under-priced with 12minutes to run to buyout. Unfortunately the other guy won but it was fun all the same :)

    I have around 50 hours played so far - level 50 at Act IV on Nightmare. I've had one legendary so far - the witch doctor offhand which dropped from a random mob in Act III normal. Sold it on the AH :D

    Not a legendary but a nice rare ring dropped last night at the very end of Act II Nightmare - I'm a DH - 126 dex, 40 vitality, socket, 2% crit chance :)
