posted a message on 240% MF Butcher run [Inferno] - what you can expect
Done over 50 runs so far, takes me 25-35 mins per run with clearing every zone from Leoric's manor to the Chamber of suffering. Every run is approximately the same, loot wise. Got 1 legendary so far from a frigin' barrel. This is the kind of loot you can expect from it with a nice 240% MF stacked.

    Quote from Tsukishima

I have gotten the first tier of inferno gear in Act 1 inferno so it is definately possible.

Getting rares is a different thing.

    1. Farm chests with high MF
    2. Grind out Nephalem Valor +5 and do a boss (eg. Skeleton King, Maghda, Spider Queen, Butcher). The buff increases the item quantity as well, making this one of the most profitable ways to farm

I often clear the way to a boss, dragging unkilling champion packs to an obscure corner if need be, then go farm valor till +5. After which stack as much MF as you can safely stack. Bosses are generally easier than champions so you can get away some MF gear.

At about 180MF i've gotten as many as 6 rares 7 blues from a single boss kill. You can't control the mods but you can increase the number of items and the chances of them beings rares.

I've been doing that for 4 days now, stack the buff to 5 on the way to butcher and kill it. Also, dunno if this works but when i get the boss to 2-3 % hp i switch my gear for MF gear and get my MF up to 260+ but still havent seen anything worthy. Hopefully today when i finish act 2 ill have more luck farming there or in act 3 cuz it seems that i am just having a bad luck streak :S

It's what Diablo is all about, running the levels and hoping for that rare good drop.

Yes i know but my question wasn't if they ever drop for anyone but WHERE do they drop for the ones who've seen them drop. As in, does the good shit drop in act 1 too or only act 2/3/4.

So i've been farming inferno for the last 4-5 days and i'm getting really, really pissed. Basically nothing even remotely close to good has dropped so far for me. No good rares, no 1000+ dps blues and no legendaries whatsoever. I've clocked over 80 hours on the game so far half of which have been spent on farming.

Do i have really shitty luck or do i need to get to act 3/4 on inferno (curently act 2) before i start seeing some shinies?

posted a message on Anybody died in normal mode?
Died on Diablo once on normal, then killed him 1st try on nightmare and hell... Died a few times on nightmare to molten rares exploding under me (i forget abt the explosion 70% of the time) and a couple of times on a phase beast champ pack. On hell i died prolly around 20-25 times. On inferno i died 7 times on the first elite and been drying ever since :P

That is extremely close to my stats beside that i'm running with an additional ~80-100 resists. Like Drav said, at that point you simply nuke everything before it has time to do anything which doesn't happen in act 2, so I was wondering if you had any solid progress there?
I'm kind of at a loss as to what would be the most reliable setup to live through most elite packs further on.

Act 2 ugh... Cant give you any advice there since im stuck aswell... The dps isnt that much the issue as getting one shotted by pretty much everything is. I was thinking about stacking some more HP and bringing zombie dogs back into the game but we'll see, gonna get more geared first.

posted a message on WD Inferno - solo farming act 1
Hey guys, i've been farming inferno act 1 for the last couple of days so i made this video to show you what you can expect from it in terms of difficulty, loot and speed of farming. I've been tinkering with places where to start farming in order to stack up the Nephalem valor buff and this seems to be the best.

As you can see, in the festering woods there are 5-6 rare/champions packs ALWAYS and the distance between them is very short so it's very effective as a starting place for your farm runs.

The build that i use is http://eu.battle.net...Udij!ZbX!YaaYac

If you find yourself having mana issues, you can swap out Blood Ritual for Vision Quest. It's a petless build but it works fine.

After stacking the buff 5 times i suggest clearing the first zone that leads to the old ruins (2 out of 5 dungeons always open), the fields of misery (2-4 rare/champions packs + 1-2 dungeons and then proceed with clearing the act. Hope this will help you, GL and HF with the farming.

    ^^ i run http://us.battle.net...dUYT!ZcU!aZZZaZ
lvl 52. 2694 damage, 17.4k hp doing pretty well in hell with a monk in the group. thinking about changing out dogs for hex-hedge magic / jinx. i spam darts for champs/rares/named and normal packs just get a nasty batch of AC.

I would suggest swapping the dogs for Grasp with the 80% slow rune, saved me a gazzilion times, also makes grouping up enemies for AC spam much easier.

Because darts do horrible damage, bats do not.

1/5 more damage for 15 times more mana?
