oh as an after thought wouldnt monks be equally squishy since their main stat is also dex? or do they have more mitigation at their disposal? haven't really looked at their skills yet.

I'll definately play around with some of the ideas concerning DH. The meshing factor so to speak might still be an issue, but im having fun in the process so meh

Ah I didn't even think about the stat differences. certainly explains the durability when mobs do close in on me. I enjoy the mobility of the oh hit buttons, but when those run out it gets pretty hairy. Not fitting my play style is certainly a valid point. could be the DH doesn't mesh as well with me as say the wizard. I'm not going to give up on him necessarily, but could fall to an alt position for the sake of my enjoyment

I am about lvl 15 mostly dealing with goatmen and I'm noticing that if I get cornered, swarmed, or caught low on discipline I'm basically toast. It doesn't happen all that often but when it does I can't seem to kill things fast enough or have any wiggle room for error. Like in that goat town when 30 of em swarm you and one ends up being a jailor. Died three friggin times (mostly due to the jailor and getting smooshed by trash)

Meanwhile on my wizard I not only seem more durable, but can toss out much more damage, especially aoe and have room to recover from dumb mistakes. I don't think my gear is all that different between the two either with the demon hunter having the edge there. So I'm wondering if there is just a difference in their survivability or what. Also can some of the other classes take more than a couple hits before going squish? I know some bosses are built to one hit basically, but I'm talking about on just general trash. kiting while low on hatred and discipline is not exactly fun to me.

Basically I'm trying to tell if this is just the way it is. If so I'll deal and adjust. Or if some of the other classes are more durable or have more tools at their disposal to not die. or if im just sucking with my hunter. sadly all ive found to work was binding evasive fire as my main attack and rapid fire as my secondary. even then if two things get close its a shot or two and almost no health left.
