    The Avengers: 8/10

Great super hero movie, great action and great humor.
Sadly i was forced to watch it in 3D, i would have probably liked it more if it was in 2D.

I hate how everything is in 3D now... when will this fad go away.

AMEN! The glasses never fit me right, so I'm forced to hold them on my face the entire duration of the movie otherwise I'm stuck looking at torsos for 2 hours <.>

3D ruined Avengers for me too. Plus the boys decided to purchase tickets 15 minutes before the movie started even though I told them to order online.. so we wound up sitting in the front front front frooooooont row. My neck still hurts 3 days later.

Although let me re-phrase: I love the movie, I just didn't enjoy the cinematic experience

Usually at GameStop you walk in BEFORE 12:00, typically 11:00pm or 11:30pm.
    Then you purchase the game.
After purchasing the game, you wait in line outside.
Then at exactly midnight, everyone walks into the store in an orderly fashion and picks up their copy of the game.

So essentially you get the payment out of the way before midnight, but you won't get your game until after midnight.

This is good to know. I ordered my CE overnighted like 3 months ago, but a buddy wants one really bad but is literally a couple days off on his pay periods so he couldn't buy one until that Friday which they will all probably be gone by then. I was thinking of picking it up for him... and then keeping it from him until he pays on Friday.... which means he won't get to play until Friday. *evil grins*

I've never gone to a midnight release so I wasn't sure exactly how that all works especially the legality that a retailer is supposed to follow.

I do believe the CE hard copies are officially sold out everywhere and have been for at least a week or more. Your buddy probably won't be able to get one :( But it's the same with all big titles. I've already pre-ordered CE GW2 knowing companies will stop taking CE pre-orders ~a month before the game launches :\

But I like going to midnight releases because they're fun :P I'm sure it's partially because I like to chat up the guys in the line for potential local teammates. They're usually fairly quick. Last midnight release I went to was Mass Effect 3. We got there at 11:30, purchased the game, hopped across the street to Walmart, bought some sodas, got back in line and left at 12:16.

Well that's sad to hear :( But you can still preorder the normal version of the game, and if you're willing to wait you can probably still get your hands on a CE through ebay. It might cost you some extra cash, but I'm sure you can try to make half of that back in the RWAH :) Just stay positive and you'll be slaying demons in no time~!

posted a message on Meet the Pets
Soooo I love pets, and I'm actually really lucky to have my silly kitten.
I joke around and say she's all beauty and no brains :P

    Oko's Story
A couple of girls from work went to Tennessee to go White Water Rafting. They came across a kitten who was no more than 8 weeks old. She was all skin and bones and not far from where they found her was a few scattered corpses of her dead siblings. My best friend at work, (we'll call her A) instantly started crying when she saw this (she loves animals more than people). They played with the kitten and fed her, who despite being weak and frail, was full of life and bouncing from person to person. A wanted to take the cat home with her to Alabama, but her boyfriend (who she lives with) said she already has too many pets. When A and C got back from their weekend vacation, they were telling me about this kitten who they left with the owners of the White Water Rafting company near the Ochoe River. The owners said they could feed her scraps but they weren't going to keep her, but that A could come back and pick her up in a few weeks. A was looking for a home for her and naturally I volunteered. I planned to only foster her until we could find her a suitable home, but I instantly fell in love with her, nursed her to a healthy weight and now she's basically my child. We decided to name her Ochoe after the river where she was found, but I call her Oko for short, unless she's in trouble than I use her full name :P

She's just about the sweetest kitten in the entire world. She follows me everywhere, she loves to sit on my PlayStation even when it's not warm from being turned on. She likes to chase me around the house and pounce on me when I'm walking around corners. I have to keep the door open when I take a shower because she likes to sit in there and play in tub. She just has the best personality and I love that about her, even when she's being a bad kitty it's hard to stay mad at her. She's about 8 months old now and still just as silly.

    [PICTURE 1] [PICTURE 2]

I have so many funny stories about her, but I'll start the thread off with this one, which just happened the other day.

    Silly Kitten
Everyday when I come home, Oko runs to the door to greet me and meow until I pick her up and give her kisses. But the other day I was rushing when I got home because I had gotten off work late and my boyfriend and I had plans to go see the Avengers. So I put my purse on the counter and ran to the bathroom to take a shower. Naturally, Oko is at my heels meowing at me, as if she's saying "mom" to get my attention. While I'm at the sink letting my hair down and putting my hair ties away, Oko lets out this really LOUD and LONG meow as if the whole time she had been saying "mom, mom, mom, MOOOOoOOoOOOOoOOMMMM!!" just like a little kid would hahah. So of course that made me laugh and I scooped her up and gave her kisses and she stopped meowing.

Bahaha so anyway, share your pet stories! Tell us about your pets, post pictures! Do your pets act like little kids too? :P

posted a message on Mother's Day
Don't neglect your moms this Mother's Day! After all, you wouldn't even be able to play Diablo 3 without a mother to bring you into this world!

For those of you who don't know, Mother's Day is THIS SUNDAY May 13th!

Post your ideas as well for those who forgot about Mother's Day or might need help with presents!!

I have to open that morning but I'm getting off work at 1pm, so mom and I are having our mother/daughter shopping day (which we love to do) and then I'm taking mom and dad out to dinner that night :D

Personally, it will just be myself and my boyfriend. But I have a lot of friends who are also purchasing the game and who I'm sure I'll occasionally party with - if they don't slow me down :P

For those of you who will be actively playing with more than 4 people, how do you think that will turn out? Do you think it will be better or worse? Mostly I'm trying to wrap my head around how guilds are going to work in D3

I close monday night (10:30) on the 14th, so I'm literally popping over to my house to change and get the whip cream out of my hair, and heading straight to GameStop. Luckily I'm 15 minutes from my job to my house and 5 minutes from my house to my GameStop! yay!

    Quote from tanis0

No option for zero? Meh. I would have been interested to see on here what percentage of people took days off vs. those who didn't. Also, why can you select multiple options? :D

    Multiple options as in:
    - I could only "get" one day off, but requested 3, am a hardcore fan - but landlord is going to evict me if I don't play rent?
    lol

I just had this funny image pop into my head (for fans of The Guild) of Vork sitting in his creeper van connected to some random lady's internet while playing "The Game". I could see that happening to some people who took off a week of work.

Personally I don't have enough paid vacation time :( le poo

I'm a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks and I have an awesome Manager and myself and all of us ladies get along really well. I actually told my Manager about it and she just laughed. I've been talking about this game all throughout the month of April and I requested May 15th and 16th off when I pre-ordered the CE in January. Because I have rent to pay and actual responsibilities at my job, I only took off 2 days. THANKFULLY Frappy Happy Hour ends on Mother's Day, otherwise I probably wouldn't have gotten it off! I don't request days off too often, so when I do, I'll usually always get that day off, unless there is a promo launch at the store (like Frappuccino Happy Hour - which all of our customers love, but it's hell week for Baristas)

    - PS: Don't forget Mother's Day is May 13th!
