So I know this is somewhat impractical, because generally the best players will already belong to a guild/playing with people they've known for a long time, but I'm giving it a shot and see what it yields. I have some great players I know, but none that as of right now have the time availability to be as competitive as I'd like, so giving things a shot on forums and see what I come up with.

I've played MMOs since EQ1, and generally within the top tier of competition. Was in one of the most widely respected gank guilds in DAoC, played competitive high-end dota1, and was in a world top 200 guild in WoW (can give guild names in respects to various games if anyone's particularly familiar with any of those games and want to verify what I'm saying is legit)

I've taken about 5 days off of work, and I'll be playing a whole lot, probably 18-20 hours for those days, and probably 10-12 after that. I'm looking for people with similar gaming backgrounds who have the ability and time to play that much and want to race to 60, farm hell for a bit (which sounds necessary) and then try our luck at inferno. You need to be familiar with the idea of coordinated CCs in succession, maximizing dps while maintaining survivability, and just generally be an aware, smart, reactive player.

As of right now, I planned on playing a barb, but I can be flexible if there's good reason to be. Anyone interested could leave a response here, but would probably be better if you sent me an email. I can be reached at dylanmartis@aol.com

If you decide to email me or leave a response here, it'd be helpful if you can elaborate on games you've played/successes you've had in gaming, your general time availability short term (if you've taken off of work like I have) and generally, once your vacation's over.

I know this isn't for everyone, so if you read this and think OMG YOU'RE CRAZY just pass it up and don't comment, it just clutters the thread for no reason.

    Thanks

    Quote from okrane

I love the Wizard, it will be my first. Personally I think the monk is real shit with those weak and boring tri-hits, as in I won't even touch him, but hey, there's opinions for ya.

Monk is going to own. To me, wizards and DH's are the 'weakest' of the classes purely by assessing the skills available to all the classes. And by that, I really mean when it matters (i.e., inferno) I think the other calsses are absolutely necessary, and the last 4th spot can be filled by a wizard or DH. I'd probably take the wizard over the DH, unless the DH has such amazing DPS that it outweights some utility loss. I just don't believe wizards are going to be balanced well enough between being required to have % damage to keep up with damage/health ratios, blizzard learning that MFing was too easy on the sorc class, the way AP functions, and the lackluster synergies between the wizard passive/active abilities.
