    yow, ive been wondering this for a while, but how come furnace is the best weapon.

    a furnace is max +50% elite dmg, while a sunkeeper + firebird eye ( +magefist cause you free up a firebird slot) is 30% elite dmg, 40% fire dmg, 10% crit, more primary stat and if you get a rly good eye you get another 10% elite dmg
    Now you've gone and done it. There's a sizable debate on actually how much Furnace is better then SK + Eye and Devastator + Eye. It stacks up to something like Furnace is best on Elites, Devastator best on whites, and Sun Keeper a mix of both. However, the math I saw clearly caveats the Furnace wins out if you take advantage of Firebird snapshotting damage increase of Black Hole + Strongarms, which we ALL do, in which case the Furnace is something clearly and considerably better.

    Of course, this was in mathspeak, and these people are wizards to me. I got lost after the first decimal.

    I don't see any mention on how to properly allocate paragon pts for this firebirds build. Any suggestions on where to allocate pts for someone around 220 para pts doing seasons?
    MS>Resource>Int
    CC/CHD (keep one to ten ratio) CDR;
    All Resist>Armor>Life Regen
    Life on Hit > RCR >Splash Damage will take you to 600.

    Even the best possible MLW (Arcane, Crit, Socket, CHD) is missing a stat, and the actual proc requires you to get FAR too close. Again, a ZDPS WD might allow you to use it, unless it's a Electrified mob.

    A follower might work, because it casts an actual spell; but it would require taking off Ess, which triggers Strongarm and Trapped. I don't think it would worth it. No math to support this, just gut feeling.

    What about Teleport - Calamity?
    Considered it, and discarded. Couple good reasons, I think, why it won't work. A) Arcane Exposure needs to be refreshed every 5 seconds B) Turns your defensive spell, to get you out of dangerous stuff, into offense - you effectively lose teleport. C) Good chance you will teleport into something that will kill you; an elemental affix of some kind.

    Teleport May work with a Zdps WD in group. Honestly, they should just fix Force Weapon to apply Arcane stacks, and this would be solved.

    Addendum: Band of Hollow Whispers does indeed stack Arcane Exposure. It requires giving up Unity or Stone of Jordan, though. It is possible that Unity is a hindrance in high level rifts; but there seems to be about a 5 sec ICD on Hollow and it only targets one mob.

    It's Electrify and Spellsteal/EventHorizon or nothing, I guess.

    I was lucky enough to find an almost perfect Sunkeeper with Cold damage yesterday. It got me thinking: Can I work the full 20% Elemental Exposure bonus in for group play without sacrificing too much personal damage? I already have Fire in Spades, Cold on the Sunkeeper; Lightning COULD be covered by changing Force Weapon to Electrify;

    It wad Arcane that has me stuck. Switching Blazer to Spellsteal is a possibility, but i really hate giving up Blazar. I cant fit Cannoneer into my build; would require sacrificing Teleport, which is unthinkable. I came up with an off the wall idea of using Band of Hollow Whispers, which casts an ARCANE damage Haunt. Im not sure this works: this is the ruling i was able to find:

    As of 2.1, damage-dealing procs cannot proc EE/Conflag/Temporal Flux, etc. or procs of other types (for example, Stormcrow's fireball can't proc 4 piece Tal Rasha's meteor shower). Gems and proc effects that cast actual skills (for Wizards, that'd be Tal Rasha's meteors or Wizardspike's Frozen Orb) seem to be exceptions to this rule;

    Well, Haunt is an actual spell. So, does it stack Arcane EE? If it doesnt work, would it be worth changing Blazar to something else for Arcane? Worth changing Force Weapon to Electrify for Lightning?

    Is EE even worth trying to work into a build for group play? What are your thoughts on the matter?

    Also, yes, i know this requires some pretty hard to acquire legendaries with specific rolls.

    Wouldnt even call it conspiracy. Its just how corporations work. If you are responsible for tens of millions of dollars wasted, they might show you the door, espiecally if you have a history of it.

    Also not a coincidence they are making this announcement just before Blizzcon. If you know how things work, its not too hard to grasp things going on behind the scenes.

    It would surprise me not at all if the failure of Titan is why Pardo left. In fact, I would be surprised if that wasn't the case. It's tens of millions of dollars wasted.

    the only way you are allowed to multiox is when the only thing your 3rd party program does, is sending all keystrokes/mouse usage to more then one window. As long as 1 input = 1 output per window its true, they have no problems with it.

    If 1 input = 2 or 3 or x outputs, they will likely try to ban your ass.

    Yep, summed it up perfectly. More or less what the customer service said to me when I was asking about multiboxing myself.
    Does it significantly increase your loot? Specifically, increase your chance at very high quality loot on your main toon? Absolutely. The question is how the multiboxxers pick up legendaries, and other stuff, as they go on all four clients. And for that, I believe, they use a third party program, which IS strictly against ToS.

    Will the bonus apply to the DoT even if it isn't part of the snapshot? Can it be included in the snapshot? Is there enough movement to justify their use?
    Tons and Tons of movement, but Cindercoat's leg affiix is much more useful; Or, if you find yourself too squishy, Magefists rolls an extra stat.

    Im not sure why this thread is still going on. FACT: DHs, Zdps Monk/WDs, and possibly a VERY geared Wizard are the only real choices for High 44+ GRs. DPS MONKS /Barbs/Crusaders dont deal AND take too much damage. FACT: This is a systemic issue because damage is so ridiculous in high level GRs.

    FACT: Damage for all classes need to come up to par with DHs.

    FACT: Even then, this wont fix the problem of melee survivability.

    FACT: Melee survivability needs to come up so they can do thier jobs

    Opinion: this is where we guess how they accomplish this. They have melee passive damage reduction as a knob to turn; (up to 50% ?) And i suspect they will allow us to use gems to reroll secondaries into a resist of our choice (maybe?) This may cause problems with Harmony, which might have to be adjusted/revamped.

    Opinion; what if they changed FireWalls/Ice Climbers to be immune to Fire/Ice respectively? With an immunity amulet, a pair of boots and gemming resist on gear, you might be highly resistant to three types of damage. Bow, lets go further, maybe Thundergods makes you immune to lightning and Profane Pauldrons immune to arcane? SHAGGY on the first page has it right; this is a symptom of terrible itemization on d3. we all use the same gear; there's very few pieces we could shift around; maybe they should add Set Bracers for the major sets and let us shift pieces around depending on what kind of damage we need to avoid - and let us customize our gear depending on what we do or do not find.

    Or make individual legs competitive with sets; i definitely dont like the paradigm "use this set or..you suck" we're stuck in much at all.

    Do I reroll the CHD or Int here?

    The answer is brutally obvious. This thread seems more like a "LOOK AT ME!" post then "I have a legit question!" thread. If you are genuinely asking this question, then perhaps the game is a bit too hard for you.

    But I suspect this is a troll. And so..

    I think they need to buff the other classes to DH level; Wizards, Barbs and Crusaders, as of this moment, have no endgame. WDs play as a CC class, and Monks tank.

    I also don't like the over reliance on ONE build - the one dictated by your class set. If you don't use your class set, you pretty much suck.

    Does this build benefits from Attack Speed ?? I was thinking that if I get a good RoRG, having a slot, I'd be able to use Tal Rasha amulet and helm. That way I'd benefit from it's third passive + the whole firebird :) .. Is that a viable option? The problem is that almost every RoRG has attack speed.. :\
    IAS increases Mammoth Hydra and Blizzard damage. It does not affect Black Hole, or the Firebird dot. It's not a terrible stat to have, and most people will probably have a bit on their Firebird Talons until they manage to snag a pair of Firebirds they can roll off the IAS for Int/Vit/CC/CHD
    completely wrong! mammoth hydra and blizzard are not affected by IAS. this is the most useless stat you can have on your gear right now...
    Oops. I screwed the pooch. It's Blazing Hydra thats affected by IAS. Misread the post. For some reason, I thought it was Mammoth that was affected by IAS.

    posted a message on Firebird Hatchling has questions!
    Addendum: I've done some reading, and I'm pretty sure Force Weapon does not count as Arcane damage. It will really should, though. Electrify and Ignite work.

    Anyway, you'd have to run Event Horizon in groups to get the Arcane bonus (if it's not on your weapon.) instead of Blazar, and although that's a pretty tough tradeoff, it's possible. Would take considerably longer to stack the Firebird DoT, but your group would do 10-15% more damage and you'd have some extra utility to Rez or "Dispel" a mob affix in the way.
