yeah, i'm going to skip scenes so i can get through the game and enjoy the race to inferno, then i'll probably go back on my new character and watch everything properly, because theres only 1 race at the release when everyone is at equal gear level and knowledge of areas, but cinematics are always there
So, since there wont be a sigil to boast on your bragflag (press G) for betamaxed or overachiever take screencaps here in the last hours of the diablo 3 beta. It was awesome and the game will be some sort of scientific notation exponent of added awesomeness.
I got there in patch13/14. After that I didn't have enough time and and it definitely got harder to achieve it because of mobs getting more hit points.
So post your screenshots and brag away!
i finished at about 64% of achieves on beta, never maxed every class though =/
Replay value comes from the combat itself. Yes, that is plenty.
I've been saying this for a while now. I can see how that may be hard to understand if you're stuck in a D2 mindset of combat still.
Strategy and tactics are far more important (heck, it's enough those 2 things actually EXIST in Diablo now) to combat in D3. Controlling the field and the monsters while keeping your health up takes a lot more now. It's no longer spamming 2 skills and spamming pots.
Take that and add the fact that the areas to farm are larger and more random with events and things. No more single boss runs like D2. You'll be hunting down rare/champ packs and each pack will be an incredible battle where you'll have to devise a strategy to survive. Each pack will be different. Going through packs to get your Nephalem Valor buff up then fighting a boss is going to be much better than D2 farming.
Now add all of that to an increased difficulty when compared to D2 and you'll want to keep playing because the GAMEPLAY is fun, not because you're forced to level again.
I expect 1 day for normal. 3-7 days nightmare, 14-21 days hell, 3month+inferno
out of all the ramblings im only going to reply to this because everyone is just repeating shit thats already been said.
you people realize that IF it did take even a week to beat 1 difficulty spending 8 hours a day that means you'd be running up to monsters and dying every few seconds. or nearly every second for it to take that long. considering diablo has always been a short game in content, even when in D2 hell when you insta-died you ressed and ran strait back to where u died in mere seconds and repeated till you got through it. which didnt even take hours let alone days or weeks.
your all effing high if you think itll take more then a week for a good player to beat norm-hell. they havent said D3 norm-hell is way harder than D2 norm-hell. so if its the same then its literally guaranteed it will be beaten in a few days of marathoning like how i beat D2. seeing as thats how long it took for most people withOUT rushes (took about 2 hours to get to the end of hell with rushes :P)
so you're comparing d3 to d2 in terms of how long it will take to clear the content? interesting...
i will be ready to go once servers open, but wont be playing too hard, exams coming up shortly after release, so can't get too immersed in the game...wish me luck! lol
15 days, can you believe it? The worst quote of Jay Wilson is way behind us (read "Soon was too soon"). Soon is not soon enough right now isn't.
Let's hope that those 2 weeks will be gone quickly, so have fun with your last 2 weeks of social life guys and see you in hell soon.
Keep up the good work (staying more or less patient since the begining, at least to the point where you haven't got cryogenically frozen or something like that).
My mates exact words lol, he wanted to freeze himself so he didnt have to wait these 2 weeks
