confirmed.. look for them on the game guild of b.net

Thanks guys. I could of went there, but I don't want to actually see them. I'm afraid if I go there, I will look through them all and ruin any surprise of finding it in the game. Yeah, I'm weird like that.
    nah =D
they are missing all their stats (was confirmed), and theres very very few showing, there are MANY MANY MANY they have not been added yet =)

    That's good to know. Thanks.

posted a message on Diablo IV concept...
    Hell fellow forum junkies,

I got this great idea for Diablo IV and I thought I would share. I would have it take place on the Diablo III Official Forums. The gameplay would consist of battling through threads of trolls and whiners who constantly change your UI and game mechanics based on their own personal preferences. This, alone, would add unlimited challenge to the game. A truly ever-evolving game world. In this game, Diablo is truly dead. For Bashiok has risen up from the lesser circles of Hell to take over the Forums, and it is up to you to destroy him and bring true balance back to the General Discussion.

Hey all, I asked this in a round about way in my post about achievements and didn't get a reply, so I'm gonna be more direct. Have set items been confirmed or denied for D3? Thanks.

The solution to this is for you to find another game with people more equally geared as you.

Or quit being a greedy $%^# and group for the social aspects and not how you might benefit from it. I think all this will do is help weed out those people that we really wouldn't want to play with anyway.

EDIT: Not saying that to you specifically, btw. Just generalizing.

posted a message on Diablo 3 Beta Key (Finished)
After defeating Diablo in the depths of the Cathedral, DragonSyn knew there was only one thing that could contain the evil of the beast. Without thought, he grabbed Molster's Beta Key and jammed it vehemently into his forehead. Though the pain was excruciating to deny the other forum posters, he took great pleasure in knowing, for now, the evil has been contained once again.

posted a message on What are your thoughts on the voice acting?
    Quote from Obliteratus

I actually really like the Templars voice acting, Specifically the absurd over-exaggerated pronounciations. JONDAHHHHH,
Although he sounds kind of creepy sometimes like a serial killer (Which i guess he was once a criminal, maybe we'll find out he actually IS a murderer). As for other voice acting, Some of it does sound silly, but not nearly as bad as other voice acting i've seen in other games (In the blizzard world, nothings as bad as WoW voice acting and SC2 script writing). I think diablo sits at a fine line of ok.jpg.
some of the dialogue could use a little work, I understand its supposed to be mideival based and all, but for instance the barbs "You can not defeat me" could easily be shortened for the less awkward sounding, "You can't defeat me!". There's several lines in the game i've heard like this that sound a little redundant. Also, As said above, the lich k-er the SKELETON kings "YOU WILL NEVER DEFEAT ME!" is pretty damn cliche, every time I hear it I facepalm.. cmon now, this is diablo.. what happened to the complex boss lines? "Looking for Baal?", "YOU'RE TOO LATE! HAHAHA", "My brothers will not have died in vain!" or the infamous "NOT EVEN DEATH CAN SAVE YOU FROM ME!"
But really..?! "YOU WILL NEVER DEFEAT ME"?! it's so simple.. bland.. CLICHE! Sigh.. </endrant>

but other then that I guess im satisfied with this game, apart from the wonky rune/skill system.

Sure, it's cliche, if you're not the Skeleton King. Blame the others that overused it to hell. If ANYONE should be saying it, it's the Skeleton King. :dead: And it is true, he'll never be 'defeated'. He's a skeleton and has no 'life' to begin with. But I get where you're coming from. :P

Very excited. Been a fan since the beginning, I remember being unable to log on battle.net on our IBM Aptiva because you needed 16MB of ram and it only had 12MB :D (it came with 8, my dad bought a 4MB upgrade though, I dont remember but I think the price was absurd by today's standards)

That story had nothing to do with this thread, but again, yes Im excited. :D

It was. Back then, a 4 MB SIMM chip would have probably cost you close to $200 USD for a 'good' brand. A subpar brand, about $120, give or take.

I don't mind crazy achievements, just as long as they don't take me a whole year to do. *cough* This *cough*

OUCH! That's brutal. I probably simply wouldn't even attempt that one, at least not until I progressed through it enough that I could actually see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Personally I think the whole achievement thing has been done to death. It's more of a required element in games nowadays than a "Oh look what I did" kinda thing.

I still think they're neat, little goals to do to get some cool rewards though. Also they make nice time wasters, if you're going for a tricky achievement.

It starts to head in the wrong direction when you're spending hours and hours banging your head against the wall doing some meticulous requirement though. They should be fun little things. Sure they can be tricky, but not borderline impossible.

I agree with you 100%, Aldrek. I hate meticulous achievements. They should never be used as 'elitist' fodder nd should be achievable by anyone at anytime. I hate 'exclusive' achievements, like 'be the first to do this' or 'be the first to do that'. They should be something that requires more determination than effort or random luck. With that said, if they put some crazy ones in there, I'll still probably end up trying to do them, I just wont like it! :QQ:

EDIT: On another note, I would like to see achievements associated with set items (if they are actually confirmed to be in the game. Anyone? Gosh, I hope so!) That way you could 'collect' the various sets without actually having to hold on to the darn things. With that said, I think they should only unlock when you own all pieces at once and not 'Get a piece, unlock part of the achievement, get rid of it, get another piece, etc'. In other words, you would have to actually hang on to the individual pieces till you had the whole set. Then, and only then, would the achievement unlock, you get the achievement, then you can discard, sell, trade, etc... Just my thoughts.

I'm sure this has been discussed here before, but I didn't want to search and necro an old post. We all know what would happen to me then. ;) So, what are peoples thoughts on achievements in Diablo? Love them, hate them or indifferent? Personally, I love them. Not even to be an elitist or whatever. I just like doing them and seeing if I can accomplish them. Anyone have any interesting views?

posted a message on What are your thoughts on the beta?
First, I would like to say, to me, the game feels and plays just like Diablo II minus some annoyances (i.e looking up stat spreadsheets and skill build guides) and that is a great thing. I was super-excited for this game for years and after having played the beta, find it hard to exist without it. Just can't bring myself to play (and get immersed) in anything else.

    Secondly,

If there is one thing I wish they would change, it would be the predetermined rune unlocks. I think that if there is a rune effect on one of my skills that truly fits how I want to play, I shouldn't have to wait until level 'x' to do it.

The way it is actually encourages you to try out new things. For example, if you are looking through the runes and find one that you think is your play style, what is to stop you from just picking that and ignoring the rest. The whole reason they made all skills viable in the first place was to try and get people out of that mindset of the 'ultimate' skill. Having said that, I see no problem with the way it is now. The key is diversity. ;)

posted a message on Weird official d3forum question
    Quote from Yerond

So, I used to have a WOW account that i've stopped paying for forever and a half ago, however since then I have pre-paid d3 (the official way, on my bnet account). However (again) I haven't been able to post on the official forums because it says "
This game license has expired or been frozen."

Not that big a problem, I'm just wondering what I can do/what the problem is. I know its not you guy's problem but hey, this is the only other place that might help me.

Yeah, it does kind of suck. I've bought and played every Blizzard game ever made since way back in 1994 (I think it was, with the exception of the Starcraft series, not much into that series) when original Warcraft came out and I can't post on forums. Good news is, when game releases, as long as you have a character, I'm sure you'll be able to create posts.
