Gotta say I'm pretty frickin irritated atm. I don't give a rats ass how many people logged on they should have planned and prep'd for absolute worst case scenario which they obviously didn't.

At least they could sack up and admit there website crashed.

    Haha, what a joke.
I can't believe anyone would take anything they say about difficulty seriously....

I think people like you are going to get a serious reality check on inferno. They've repeatedly stated it's eff'ing hard and people keep trying to use their D2 experience with a completely new mode in a completely different game.

Basically what this means is sacrifice focus'd builds should be a viable option having the chance to spawn new dogs and not having to wait for the skills' cooldown.

Does it take you back to your body? Or does your body travel to your spirit?

Depends. Usually your body travels to your spirit, unless your body takes 50% damage while you are spirit walking, then you go back to your ravaged body.

That doesn't make sense to me. When you spirit walk you end up wherever your spirit body is when the skill is over. If your physical body takes 50% of max life and thus ends the spirit walk if you ended up back in your body you'd now be SCREWED which would make this skill stupid.

I am far more inclined to believe that if your physical body takes 50% damage that spirit walk ends and you are wherever your spirit body was when it ended.

The rune umbral shock would lead me to believe this is correct. The tooltip says that when spirit walk ends your physical body "erupts" for 85% weapon damage to all enemies within 10yds. Well that's kinda dumb if your physical body takes 50%, you end up right back where you started and hit everyone for 85% in melee range as a squishy character. That's just stupid game design.

I seriously hope you are incorrect in how the skill works. The only exception I can make is that a build focus'd on this skill would probably stack +max life so that it might be rare that your physical body would actually take 50% of max hp damage in 2 seconds.

It looks cool and I'll probably use it here and there as the mood suits me.

That and the math alone says it's a worthwhile skill based off estimated damage over 15 seconds for it's cheap ass ap cost.

    Go go hydra.

No one can claim any imbalance between the 2 classes until people have reached lvl 60 and are decked out in the best gear. I suspect when that happens people are gonna be having too much fun kicking butt to even remember any of these asinine suspicions.

posted a message on Hatred -> Disc runes now too weak?
One thing to consider is gear affix's.

I was on another forum looking over an affix list and every class has affix's that will greatly boost their offensive potential.

If I remember correctly dh can get some pretty hefty +hatred generation bonuses and don't quote me on this, but I believe a max discipline pool of 75.

Imagine 75 discipline with preparation+punishment rune. Take the vengeance passive and you have 150 hatred x3, not counting the passive discipline regen going on inbetween each use of prep.

That's potentially 450 hatred you could blow through over a short period of time. Talk about dropping some serious non-stop damage.

Or you could take something like smoke screen+special recipe rune and the perfectionist passive and cast roughly 8 smoke screens in a row.

Gear is gonna change people's opinions on what is good or not. At lvl 1-13 you only see such a small part of the big picture.

posted a message on So i heard that Inferno was gona be hard...
I will be seriously impressed if someone manages to solo inferno within a month of release with no cheating of any kind.

First you have to beat the 3 difficulties before that and you're probably gonna have to farm more as each difficulty mode unlocks and then you have to adjust to each difficulty level and the new challenges it presents.

My guess is alot of people are gonna be eating their words about how fast they are going to beat inferno.  Beat it in a week?  HIGHLY doubt it.  Doesn't matter if you are a god among mere mortals when it comes to all things D2.  You will still need the great gear which is gonna require farm.  That and you're gonna run into scenarios through each difficulty mode where you're not prepared for something that you are gonna run into where you have to figure out how to beat it/spec differently to do it which in turn takes up time.  I'd bet money on that.

posted a message on Can Revenge proc on dodge?
I used to think that revenge should proc on dodged hits otherwise dodge heavy builds would be screwed out of using the skill, but now that I think about it I don't think it should proc off dodges.

It already proc's off blocks and if you're trying to spam revenge with provocation then you are already going heavy into increasing your durability because you have to be in the thick of melee with enemies close by anyway to get the full effect from revenge. I would guess a sword and board barb would be best with revenge. I have heard a 2 handed barb would work great with revenge, but not sure how viable that would be on the harder difficulties.

That and it makes zero sense for you to be able to proc effects from attacks that never hit you in the first place except in the case of fury generation from monster attacks which should always proc fury regardless of dodge chance imo.

Will be interesting to see how this works in the full game.

posted a message on critique this lightning stun build
I have a very similar build idea. I hadn't considered the mirror images casting versions of your own spells. This would be very cool "IF" the mirror images summons lightning attacks count towards the paralysis passive.

The only problems I see with the build are whether the mi summons counts towards paralysis and that you don't really have a big damage attack for yourself to cast. This may not be a big deal in the full game and your builds total damage output overall from summons may be plenty, but atm it looks like a possible weakness.

This is probably how I would roll a lightning focus'd build:

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#UhTSjR!aVT!acaaZZ

Basically it aims to stun enemies as much as possible and generates flashes of insight with electrocute to power up explosive blast with the chain reaction which if my math is correct would make that skill do just over 500% weapon damage with 5 flashes of insight.

The only skills that routinely require arcane power are hydra and explosive blast and since explosive blast is on 6 second cd it should be difficult to really mana starve yourself and it should be at least moderately easy to build up the required flashes of insight to boost explosive blasts damage on a fairly consistent basis.

Either way I think your build could be very effective.
