posted a message on Make D3 clans level up /w reputation mechanic. Trade with clan exalted players
Completing rifts/bounties/story with other clan members. I know this game is not an MMO, and it's not WoW - I just look at the guild structure/model from that game and I feel like itcouldwork in this game with some nifty and creative perks.

I wish I could trade items. I really do. I've been others bring up the possibility of allowing trade to people in your clan only, and others argue that third party websites would circumvent this by inviting people into the clan just to facilitate a trade, and then leave back to their own group.

My proposal is to make trading possible to other clan members only if the member is exalted with the clan. Once you earn that reputation, you are allowed to freely trade your items as you see fit with other exalted members.

This at least helps give you options for finding the items you want, and not completely at the mercy of RNG.

Additionally, I feel like you could incorporate some nifty perks as your clan levels up (as it does in WoW) to give you additional buffs based on the clan level.

Hardcore has nothing to do with gear, besides the fact that you lose it all if you die. Not my idea of fun.

To each their own. I think it's amazing when you're faced with consequence. There are no blatant, wreckless actions the player can afford to make. You play cautious or you die, is that simple. That's why it completely changes the feel of the game. Play to survive, and it's so rewarding after you've made it.

Played my share of software prior to HC though. Different strokes for different folks. After playing HC I was hooked. The only downside to it for me was the lack of PvP because of the nature of the game.

    Can't say I am.
    Never played Hardcore mode.

Would somebody be nice enough to elaborate as to why HC is such a big deal?
    :ninja:

It's really a different game when you play hardcore. I had a lvl 92 HC zon and several level 80 HC ladder characters in D2 .09 and I speak from experience when I say you look at every situation with extreme caution. You never charge in without a plan, and nobody (aside from other HC players) is as fast as you at pressing "Esc" when exiting a game to save your skin, lol. It is EXCITING, but not for everybody I imagine.

Imagine this, you're an MF sorc teleporting your way through Durance of Hate for some meph runs, but you mistakenly teleport onto a pack of imps and your block % isn't the greatest. Suddenly, you're loosing 1/3 of your HP per enemy swing, and they're swinging FAST. You barely have enough time to hit Esc and select to exit the game, as the game freezes for brief moment before returning to the lobby screen, you notice that your HP bauble has a sliver of red left in it. You have to wonder to yourself, did the server register a last, killing blow on your character before you were able to leave and your client side registered the final hit? (It can happen). You return to the lobby screen and your character is intact and not a hooded silhouette. You lived.

THAT to me is what makes HC worth playing. No other videogame will make you jump like that IMHO.

] Don't think you get better loot in Hardcore. Think your refering to "Inferno".

You may find better loot in hardcore... in diablo 2 you did.

That's not true. Diablo II SC/HC was exactly the same aside from the ability to respawn after death. The following link, second paragraph down:
