I've heard a lot about a "permanent" steed charge build that supposedly is one of the fastest speed farming builds among all classes. However, I have been unable to locate any videos or further information about the build. I'm assuming it is an Invokers set / Thorns build since that is the only way to do damage but could anybody point me in the direction of some more detailed information on the build/gear/play style please?
I agree that Monk would be about my 4th choice for bounty runs. I'm going to be using WD and Barb myself but the OP asked about monks, so I'm assuming he just isn't interested in making other classes to do his bounty runs with.
I'm interested in trying this build out for DB farming as well as for speed bounties, due to the "unlimited" dashes.
I'm curious however what the author meant by he "numlocks the blinding flash key" does he mean he just holds it down manually non stop or is there a way to automate it being constantly pressed?
And honestly, I'm finding I can get more mats per hour by just running T1's, despite that I can kill in T7 very quickly also.
I'd just like to chime in here from a HC players point of view. I've mained wizard since the day of release and I tried to keep that going in ROS but I simply got tired of hitting survivability walls at higher torments.
Wizards will still not be a popular choice for Great Rifts and this is why:
1. In order to even survive these skills are pretty much mandatory:
Energy Armor - Prismatic
Passive - Blur
Passive - Unstable Anomoly
Teleport
and in many cases you can add either Dominance or Magic Weapon - Deflection to the list
This means that between 4 to 6 of our 10 skills are basically mandatory to survive at higher Torments and Grifts.
2. Due to the above mentioned reason, it leaves VERY little room for build variety. When 2 to 3 of your 4 passives need to be used just to keep you alive.
There are very few wizards who play above T4 on HC, because they either
A. Can't produce enough damage to be competitive in group play or to clear fast enough solo without dying
or
B. Have specced so much for damage to try and stay competitive that they get 1 shot, anomoly trigger, and 1 shot again in the blink of an eye. R.I.P.
Until there is a better balance of survivability and damage for the wizard class, then it will continue to be a dead class in HC.
I know it isn't optimized at all, some pretty mix and match gear, but the basis of the build is there.
I haven't played crusader much, so any input really is welcome. I'm not looking for gear optimization for the build, I know what needs to be done. I'm more concerned with having enough wrath to use the build..
Again, thank you so much for the input. I knew my gear wasn't optmized in the least. I'm still working on rerolling a few peices, and I suppose I could switch out my cains set for firebirds or vyrs.
I have 3 vyrs peices, but I don't know if I should sacrifice my cindercoat for that. I don't think I'm ready to move my build into an archon hybrid just yet. Mostly I still need a good mirrorball.
Thank you greatly for the advice, I will try to work on some of that.
One thing I didn't see mention was a means of healing. Should I try and get some life per second regen? I'm only paragon 268 or so, so I don't have a ton of points to spend in movement speed and life regen yet.
What kind of healthpool should I be aiming for? I heard having too much %life/vitality leads to inadequate healing. That never made much sense to me though, as you can't heal if you're dead. So makes more sense to me to have less healing, but a higher EHP.
Thank you for all the input, but how exactly do I lack elemental damage? I have 75% Fire damage, I thought this was one stat that I was pretty solid on.
I have 725k buffed sheet DPS, 75% Fire Bonus, 15% Meteor Bonus
37% Crit Chance, 300% Crit Damage
I feel like I should be much tankier than I am, and be able to roll through a T2 rift in about 10 mins or less. This isn't the case though, I find myself running from elites sometimes because they drop my health massively, or just struggling to get through rifts in a timely manner.
Please give me some recommendations as to what I'm doing wrong. I know I should be using a 2 peice aughilds, but I like having the move speed from nemesis bracers or the arcane power regens from Reaper Wraps. Also, I'm trying to get a nice mirrorball to use, but so far I've only gotten one that had only a single extra missile. Please help as I know I should be doing better than I am with the gear and build I have.

Could someone link me to a Norbald + Akhans Thorn Horse build please? I've seen it discussed multiple times but I can't find any information on it

Cool, didn't know you could do that. Can you do it with multiple keys simultaneously or just 1? Would be quite useful for the healer monk build

What torment do you stream on?

With my stats, especially since I'm using the follower unity combination, I feel like I should be facerolling T2, but I'm not.
It takes me about 30 secs to a minute to kill elites, depending on affixes, and a single rift can take me like 20 mins to complete.
Here are some stats:
9.3m Toughness (373k Health, 7300 Armor, 1700-1900 AllRes)
I have some LoH and LoK, but no Life per Second.
I have 725k buffed sheet DPS, 75% Fire Bonus, 15% Meteor Bonus
37% Crit Chance, 300% Crit Damage

I always thought that it only applied to damage dealt by the wizard. Not by everyone in the party

Buddy and I ran it for about an hour.
I got 2 legs. He got none.
Also, the mothers don't seem to have 100% item drop rate anymore. Quite a few of them would not drop an item.
