posted a message on Shields with Friggin Lazer Beams (Big Burst Build) T1-6
Sup bros! I wanted to share my outside the box build here to showcase how Crusaders can do the damages. This build makes T1 look like Normals as elites get one shot, white mobs are just lazer cannon fodder.

I started this build out of my loathe for "hammerdin" builds. Don't get me wrong they're ok, but not my playstyle and chances are if you're reading not for you either.

    Build:

This build is heavily based on Holy Damage % and high crit/dmg. This build synergizes very well with some of the unique shields/flails as well. It is also geared towards end game set gear as well as it works well with akarat's. When you see those 20mil crits for only 40 wrath you will giggle like a school girl.

    < Lazer Shield Build >
    < My Profile >

Slash /w Zeal: I use Zeal rune here because wrath generation from attack speed is how we charge our lazers.

Laws of Valor /w Critical: I use critical here because our lazers are solely dependent on big crits.

Condemn /w Unleashed: I use this primarily for white mob explosions and elite burst.

Bombardment /w Impactful: This rune is a no brainer, hug damages works will with our primary burst.

Heaven's Fury /w Fires of Heaven: This ladies and gentleman is the hardest hitting, non-cooldown dependent ability we have. This rune remove the cooldown and adds Wrath Cost of a mere 40 Wrath.

Akarat's Champion /w Rally: This is how we generate wrath against big elites and bosses. It's also how we synergize our cooldown heavy damage. It's also the primary class set bonus modifier so when we start getting those set pieces, we will be rockin' lasers all day e'er day.

    Passives:

Heavenly Strength: Main Stay for 2h heavy damage builds.

Righteousness: This is very important for Wrath Generation and Attack Speed synergy.

Long Arm of the Law: This adds 5 seconds more burst, with Akarat's and Set bonuses this will have very high uptime.

    Optionals:

Holy Cause: Use this if you have "Holy Damage" on your weapon for 10% more character sheet damage.

Lard Commander: Otherwise use this for the cooldown reduction on Bombardment.

    Gearing:

This is pretty simple, you want high strength, attack speed, crit and crit damage as well as as much holy % damage as possible. You can modify Heaven's Fury skill % or Bombardment. If you're heavy on holy damage % you will get more use out of Heaven's Fury modifiers.

    Followers:

I use Enchantress here because of the damage % pools she drops as well as the extra sheet damage and toughness she gives.

    Paragon Spending:

Pretty much Movespeed to 10% then Strength, Attack Speed, Resist All, and Area/Life on Hit depending on if you need the healing.

    Playing this build:

Pretty much using Slash to generate Wrath, then dumping your Wrath into Lazers. How Heaven's Fury works now is that it fires a line of holy damage in a line towards your cursor. You want to hit as many mobs in the line as possible because it's a pretty small beam width, but the beam penetrates through all mobs. This is where your area damage will help also.

When you happen upon an elite just pop Akarat's to full Wrath, Law, then condemn/bombard and spam Heaven's Fury. It's not uncommon to giggle when you burst T1 elites in 1-2 seconds. The only downside to this build is wallers and environment line of sight.

I would hope that maybe we'll start seeing some pre-download dates soon. I can't wait. I've been waiting since Diablo 2 LoD for another Diablo. It's about time ;)
