posted a message on What's the point of being in a G-rift game if you are going to decline?
The best way to get a good public group for GRs is to join a game for regular rifts. If you get a good group that can clear fast (on par with your speed), then just ask in party chat if they want to run a GR when the rift is over. This used to work for me all the time before I joined a good clan. Best of luck.

Invite request sent in-game; if I get in, I'd also like to get my friend in with me. We're both very experienced players; I'm P325ish and he's nearly P500 (non seasonal). We are interested in getting more involved in season two; I rolled a season one Crusader just to check out the class and get up to 70, but then didn't really do much with it because our old clan was so inactive. We both play several times per week. Hook me up with an invite!

Doesn't the health of leftover mobs regenerate in the 30 seconds that you are waiting? It sucks to wait, but that (having monster health return) might be part of making death a more effective barrier to GR progression.

posted a message on Why finish rifts after guardian is dead?
Not just the keystones, though. There is also pretty good experience in a group of four while clearing rifts, so I imagine a lot of people want that extra experience. Also don't forget that your chances to find a legendary item are 100% greater in rifts (unless that's been changed), so many people probably want to take advantage of that increase and clear the whole thing. Personally, when I'm playing with friends that don't care about keystones, I like to turn it in right away as well, because I like to see that big boost from doing so. Then again, I actually enjoy bounties and I'm still relatively low on my Paragon levels (310ish), so it really feels like a boost to me.

Huh, I never knew Kadala loot is BoA (which makes perfect sense), but I've never thought about/tried to trade it anyway. Either way I want the limit raised to 2500. ;)

I think you make some good points, Ruksak, so I think the limit should only be raised enough to keep up with the new costs. Items cost 5x more to gamble? Then let us hold 2500 shards; this just makes sense to me since they scaled everything else.

Lots of good ideas here; if you haven't already posted this on the official Blizzard forums, you should. By the way, I like how you focused on just the classes you know really well instead of trying to make something up for every class.

posted a message on Any word on when/if they are going to buff cold spells?
I'll agree that Cold and Lightning need some love, but with this caveat: Cold should never do as much flat-out damage as Fire, because it has a built-in CC (the freeze/chill affect). If a player goes to a Cold build, he should realize that he's making a decision between huge damage (Fire) and lowered damage with more CC (Cold).

Cold could use a little more damage still (in my opinion, anyway), but I think anyone who wants to play Lightning should be doing the most complaining, as it doesn't really offer a good trade-off from Fire like Cold does.

Related question: can you carry more than one Keystone of Trials? I'd love to farm up a bunch.

posted a message on Keystone of Trials Drop Rate?
I ran a T1 rift solo yesterday and got a Keystone of Trials right away. Then I did my trial solo and played through a Greater Rift solo just to see what the new system is all about. Once I had upgraded a gem I found, I joined a multiplayer normal rift game to get a new Keystone of Trials and get started progressing through Greater Rifts, but this time no Keystone. Ran another rift, same result (these were both T3 rifts, BTW). Does anyone know what the drop rate is supposed to be for the Keystone of Trials, and whether or not it changes based on the difficulty? Note that I am talking about the difficulty (T1+) of the normal rift being run to find the Keystone; I already know that difficulty level doesn't factor in for the Trial waves or the Greater Rifts themselves.

it was 120 before the patch anyways so your observation that it changed is wrong
Sorry, my bad, I guess I assumed it had been upped since there was a blue post about it featured on dfan's main page.

I think it's a great idea. You can get infinite Veiled Crystals if you're doing RIF and farming Kadala. However, you'll probably soon start to run low on Arcane Dust. IMO it could be an ingenious way of saying "Stop doing RIF only", because Arcane Dust drops as a standalone drop from mobs fairly frequently. But maybe that's me just giving excessive credit.
That's a really interesting observation and I think you might be on to something there.

When I want to craft bracers, I simply make sure I start picking up all the blue items in a rift as opposed to yellows. All non respendent chest will usually cough up one blue if not two, and thankfully it's not a 1 dust per blue deal on salvaging. You get multiple dust per.
Do you find that you end a run with roughly the same amount of Crystals and Dust, though? Do you end with a ratio of Crystals:Dust that is similar to what is needed for crafting? I realize you get multiple Dusts per salvage, but it seems that blue items also drop a lot less frequently than yellows, especially at the higher difficulties, so even when I pick up and salvage all the ones I see, I don't think I hit the right ratio of Crystals:Dust.

Ah, okay. I am at work at the moment and just read the news about the increase in required Arcane Dust, so I hadn't tried it myself. Well, now that I know we can't buy and then salvage blue items, I am even more perplexed about Blizzard's decision here. Anyone got any reason why this would be a good idea? And by "this" I specifically mean raising the Arcane Dust requirement instead of, say, the Death's Breath or Veiled Crystal requirement.
