I cannot be the only one that thinks whining about not being able to get on the PTR is downright pathetic, can I?
Has it occurred to any of you that they don't really want 60% of the playerbase testing? Has it occurred to any of you that they don't want people getting on just to play with the new toys, that they actually want serious, concerted testing being done by a limited group?

Ok, I guess it's time for fucking awesome stories...Quote from boz0
Hey guys,
With my Woh and very average gear, it goes up to 34M. I've tried it with a 3750 dps unsocketed Maximus (currently equipped on my profile), just to check whether it was worth a gift, and it only went up to 44M. I thought it would go way higher with a 2-hander, so I'm a little surprised.
How high does your FB dot tick? And do you think that Maximus is worth a gift?
The FB DOT tick value depends greatly on the following:
- Speed of your weapon. A 3800 DPS 2h mace will always result in much stronger FB DOT ticks than a 3800 DPS 2h sword, because sword's DPS is so high only because of the attack speed, but FB DOT doesn't scale with it.
- Target type: elite or non-elite. Since most top wizards run the Furnace + Bane of the Powerful + SoJ + Unity, they deal 2x more damage vs elites or even more. And since people like to show off, they'll tell you they hit for zillions of damage without clarifying that it's only vs elites. So you should take their replies with a grain of salt.
- Legendary gems. Lots of people use Zei's Stone of Vengeance and the numbers they tell you are most probably from 50+ yards away from a target (yet people rarely mention that when they tell you they deal zillions of damage per tick). This is another reason why you should take replies with a grain of salt.
- Buffs/debuffs. FB DOT snapshots those when being applied. This means that with exactly the same gear your FB DOT can tick for 100M or for 1B depending on what buffs you had and what debuffs were applied to your target before your first fire attack landed on that target. People usually tell you the highest tick they got even if that was in a group with +200% damage buff and +200% incoming damage debuff.

Chaos5061 posted a message on Keystone of Trials Drop Rate?It is controlled by difficulty level. Only drops on Torment and higher. And if you are able to run T6 it will drop 100% of the time. And goes down from there.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Now I'm not totally sure of the other numbers but here is a rough guess:
T6 100% drop rate.
T5 80-90%
T4 65-75%
T3 50-60%
T2 30-40%
T1 is I think I saw somewhere a flat 25% chance.
Like I said I don't know the numbers for sure except the 100% on T6. So take all of the other numbers with a grain of salt. -

ruksak posted a message on Microtransactions: What would you pay for?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Here's a novel solution. How about they just give us the appropriate space needed to stash all this loot for 12 characters? I paid $120 dollars for this game so far, and I can't even store the loot for a loot hunting game.Quote from DannieRay23
Mainly because you like the game and spend enough hours of your day playing it so you feel is worth to pay to enhance your experience.Quote from garnok
I already bought the game. Why would i want to pay more for anything but big expansions? I wouldnt, and neither would any sane person
Lets say I lose 2 hours a week struggling with organizing my stash and deciding what to shard and what to keep, if I was able to buy extra stash space and it would cost me less than what I would make if I spent those 2 hours working instead. Then paying for stash space would actually be the smart investment.
I'll buy as many expansions as they can possibly create. What I don't want is to be nickel & dimed for simple quality of life improvements. IF they want to charge people $5 for funny hats and all that ignorant shit, go ahead. But stash space impacts the game greatly. -

GamerDanCam posted a message on What I miss about the Auction HouseReally, the one thing I miss so far, is the ability to see my stash (or at least the ones that were eligible to be put on the auction house), all my characters, my characters inventory, and what gear my characters are wearing, without having to log into the game / start a game / join a game.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Now you either have to log into the game separately for each hero, depending on what exactly you want to see, or you could log in as one hero and then view your own profile from in game I suppose. -

there was not a forum to get on and bitch about the fact that in the middle of getting a piece of tri-force the system green-screened. -

Serix69 posted a message on What is DPS good for?The DPS is just a general number that you can, at a quick glance, tell how good the weapons base stats are.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
It is much easier to loot at two items and see which has the bigger number. If the number is similar, then you can dissect the minimum damage, maximum damage, and speed, and consider which would better compliment your abilities. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Zuni will give you a great two-piece bonus that you can easily gear to take advantage of, so I'd start there. Zuni also gets really powerful when you get some rare legendary items to use with it, like SMK, Dagger of Darts, and Carnevil. Really it's a question of whether you want your build pet-based or DoT-based.

This is where you lost me entirely. Not only can I not "easily" draw that conclusion, but in fact no one can draw that conclusion at all. That is, unless you've got a crystal ball that lets you see what all the yet-to-be-implemented legendary/set weapons will be. Fixing one bugged weapon doesn't mean that all future weapons MUST be less effective than it was when it was bugged. That's just terrible logic you've got going there.

Finally, please work on the following: 1) coming up with a GOOD reason to argue for/against something next time, like trying to affect change; 2) presenting logical arguments with reasonable evidence from trusted sources.
For what it's worth, I personally never liked the RMAH and never used it, but this anti-RMAH trolling after the fact is just ridiculous.
