Will mostly solo - but I do have many groups of friends I plan on grouping with for fun. Doubt I will look to pug with strangers as its the reason I just moved away from the mmo genre.

Yeah - yesterday he pretty much implied the release build is done. Therefore an April 19th release is possible (or that week). Based on what Jay Wilson said and Bashiok's latest statement that nothing is changing - there could very well be a release date announcement as soon as well, today. (Just speculation! Don't get excited) If not I feel like it's coming within the next week. Unless they decide something needs to be changed again but it seems they are focused on releasing the game and any issues they feel that need to be addressed such as chat channels can be done in a patch.

Hey all - I haven't played D1 or D2. I can't wait to play D3 though. I've played torchlight though, so I'm not a total noob to the style of play. I've tried to learn as much as I can about the Diablo Universe and the features of D3. I've also played through the beta many times as I've recently gained access to an account with beta (Good friends - didn't buy or anything)

I'm not really interesting in making it my game until D3 or anything but I would like to get a feel for the lore and such and most of all play through all of the Acts. I'd be pretty much buying the game just to play through the story and reach level cap, get an idea of how it works here in Sanctuary.

I'm curious of a few things

1) How long would it take me to play through acts?

2) How long to reach level cap? Is that something I should strive for based on what I'm looking for out of the game?

3) Edited this one in. Expansion worth getting based on what im looking for?

Any other comments or tips are welcome. Thanks guys.

Barbarian for me. For over a year I had been convinced I would be playing the Witch Doctor first .. but after watching Force's let's plays and getting a chance to play the beta myself .. I am in love with the Barb.

The wizard feels most powerful, but that won't mean I'm going to play it. Crushing skulls with an axe is just awesome.

I think a lot of people feel the same way. I don't think these contests are helping either. I appreciate that these fan sites that are giving away keys are trying to be different but its driving people more insane. I like the build contest that's about it though. People have said they are staying up for 30 hours for a chance at a key. In the end I don't think it's worth the frustration. We all want keys but I'm gonna maintain my sanity and just wait for release, maybe I'll get lucky in a drawing to get a nice preview of the game through the beta.

Personally I'm hoping for a mid-may release so I will be done finals, but of course I want it sooner just like everyone else. I plan to play solo as I need to play at my pace ( Fast or Slow). Then Co-op later on in the game.

According to the battle.net page for the collectors edition it is a 4gb pen drive not 2.

Serpenth, the question as to what the D2 on the drive is has came up previously, it is license keys for the game not just a preview or something liek that. - hope that info helps.

I couldn't be anymore ready :). I will certainly be entering all of these contests. And posting a whole ton on this site to increase my chances of winning one of the keys Diablofans is giving away lol.

It seems to be standard with what Blizzard has been issuing in the Collector's Edition's for the last couple releases. You do get the most out of it if you play all three major franchises though as they include items for each. I think it would be cool if they included access to the classic versions of the games though. I'm not sure if the USB flash drive includes access to D2 or if it just has it so you don't have to download it. I do think that's one thing they could add, other than that you still get plenty.

About speculation look this art. Right below. does it says 27 june or 27 april. I am a little tired so maybe i am just seeing numbers. Maybe its just a name.

May 26/27 is Saturday/Sunday. So if people want to use this to speculate release date count out May. April 26/27th is Thursday/Friday and June 26th/27th is Tuesday/Wednesday. So based on this the greatest chance of a release date in order is June->April->May. Though, I would assume this piece of art has no relevance to the release date.

I can't see the game coming out in June. It's just too far. If we don't have a date by the end of next week I would also assume anywhere in the first 3 weeks of April is also out of the question. It seems like May makes the most sense at this point.

I'm going to make my guess - May 15.

I would expect them to mention the release, not the exact date, but investors want to know this information. They usually mention that they are working on X.x patch for whatever game. So we should hear something along the lines of: "D3 is still on schedule for Q1" or .. "D3 won't be releasing till Q2 now".

Makes sense really. I would imagine and am hopeful that Diablo 3, MoP, and Heart of the Swarm would be out by October. Not sure about Heart of the Swarm haven't looked at it as I've only recently picked up SC .. but watching last years blizzcon I thought to myself.."what are they gonna talk about next year?" Talk about patches? Who cares.
