Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime has revealed that Diablo III, which many anticipated to be released in time for the holiday buying season, will slip into "early 2012".
Between now and then, Blizzard will be expanding the pool of closed beta testers between now and the first of the year.
Mike Morhaime, CEO and co-founder of Blizzard, stated, "With every game we make, the temptation is always very strong to launch as soon as possible."
"However, we didn't put so many years of work into Diablo III to release a game that was almost ready. The beta test is going very well, and we look forward to making the most of the extra time we're taking to deliver an experience that lives up to our vision for the game and the expectations of our players."
During last week's Blizzcon in Anaheim, California, MMORPG.com Industry Relations Manager Garrett Fuller had the opportunity to corner Wyatt Cheng and Andrew Chambers to talk about all things Diablo 3. Check out what they guys had to say in our exclusive interview. Let us know what you think!
Seeing Diablo 3 at BlizzCon was more frustrating this year because at this point everyone is just flat out excited for the release. The collector's edition was shown off to fans for the first time and players cheered at the goodies in the set. The biggest part of the Diablo announcement at the opening ceremonies though was that Diablo 3 would be free for players who commit to a one year World of Warcraft account that is billed monthly. This move by Blizzard is really amazing, almost hard to believe for many reasons, and a sign that the game market really is changing. Enough about all of that though, most importantly we got to sit down with Wyatt Cheng and Andrew Chambers to discuss Diablo 3 and all of the excitement around launch.
Ok then just pre-order the CE if you want it that bad, you won't get charged until the item ships. And if you see you won't have the money by the time it's released, cancel your pre-order. Problem solved. KKKKKKKKKKKKKK~!~~~
If that was the case, I can see why they decided to remove it. You would be forced to pick them due to their passive mf/gold find. They do however have some passives ie inspire, hysteria and powered armor.
hahahahahaha
