so i just saw the new pics of the gargantuan... i REALLY hope they reduce his size.. yes i know he's supposed to be huge considering his name. i know this, but really he's 3 times the witchdoctors height AND width? he takes up WAYYY too much of the screen. everyone knows the character size has been increased since D2. in D2 the char's and minions were much smaller on the screen. with him and the zombie dogs it will create a lot of clutter and especially if you have more then 1 witch doctor in a game with him...

Could always get a bigger monitor :)

Just kidding, but yeah the size is a little over the top perhaps just a minor adjustment is in order. But not to much otherwise he won't really be a gargantuan.

Edit: Playing witch doctor without a doubt as first character. Dying to play him.

thanks for your reply. yes I'm definitely playing him first also, loved the necro in D2 and the necro pales in comparison to the WD. able to have decent spells AND summons sounds too good to pass up. even spent hours making the best build i could possibly come up with. I'm glad they changed all spells to be % of weapon damage, so that your constantly striving for the best weapon. not the most "x to skills" considering there are no skill points lol.

posted a message on Super high damage and survivability build
    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/witch-doctor#Tbheck!bXf!aaYZZY

    SKILLS

    1. Zombie dogs (alabaster for leaching damage for them and you)

    2. Gargantuan (indigo for massive cleave damage)

    3. Haunt (crimson for 30% life return, which on 3 targets at a time will be 90% damage return, so its like putting "HOT"s on yourself :P)

    4. Wall of Zombies (indigo for double wall width and more damage, and good sub would be golden for slowing their movement)

    5. horrify (crimson for 110% armor bonus for those sticky situations if they get through zombie wall)

    6. sarcrifice (with alabaster rune for a high chance to resummon your dogs, 800% damage in an area will certainly destroy most things and if not the dogs should reappear, at least some of them, and you still have wall of zombies and gargantuan and horrify if they don't all die, then you can re summon your dogs and do it again, and with spamming haunt i doubt regular mobs even in inferno (yes yes speculation) will live past basically 2000%+ weapon damage from a real great weapon) and considering sacrifice doesn't have a CD and dogs can reappear you could potentially spam this until no more dogs appear. :)

    PASSSIVES:

    1. spiritual attunement (extra mana and mana regen for spamming haunt)

    2. zombie hander (obviously nuff said)

    3. death trance (in case you need some extra dmg reduct so you don't die if shit goes really wrong)

    Substituting for more damage -

-you could sub in "firebomb" for zombie wall if you feel using sacrifice often isn't a good idea and only for certain situations, and with crimson rune it will be great AOE damage spam IF you don't need as much survivability with zombie wall and feel confident you won't die.

posted a message on Large community playing Diablo for.....
so I've heard quite a few people say that the "majority" of D2 players are doing it for pvp, even tho there is only 1 pvp option... and the game is 90%+ based toward PVE. so how are these people getting the "majority" of the community is playing a PVE game for PVP purposes? i rarely saw any "D U E L Z" games between norm nm and hell ever, 99% PVE games. i played for years and never did that and the dozens of friends that played also never did it. it seems that some loud members of the pvp community tend to think they are the only ones playing a certain game. so is there any "proof" that theres actually that many people doing pvp? i honestly don't see how a hack n slash dungeon crawler could have a "large" pvp community at all (comparing this number obviously against the number that play it for PVE)

posted a message on Will D3 break any records?
    Quote from EricSquat

I was looking at the D3 Beta Key Sweepstakes and noticed that there are around 1.4 million likes on its Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/Diablo?sk=app_6009294086

That number seemed particularly high to me and got me thinking.

Does anyone think that D3 will break any gaming sales records?

Anyone want to make any predictions on how many copies will be sold in the first day/week/month?

considering this is one of the most hyped games (regardless of let downs and push backs) of all time. over 12 years of waiting. AND releasing console versions of the game, i think it will DEFINITELY break records. possibly the first day. and over the course of it being available for xbox and/or playstation it will definitely break record sales over the course of a few months. of course most of these people will play the game for a very short time and quit but the beginning sales will be insane. between digital downloads and hard copies.

Um when have I ever bitched about PvP in Diablo 3 buddy? If anything I ask for hostility back and duels mid game and not in an arena only, other than that it's fine as is, the community and I don't need Blizzard to hold our hands to make the game how we want.
Also I am a PvP>PvM guy huh? Where did you get that out of what I wrote here? Man you sure added a lot to this discussion here too, can't wait to see you in game....oh wait youll be one of those kids hiding in private games so the big bad pkers won't get you. Keep walking scrub.
This forum really needs a "dislike" button or an ignore feature... I especially like how this guy calls someone out for a post "not adding to the conversation" when his whole post is just childish bravado.

Oh no! I didn't add anything to the conversation!

he might as well of called u a carebear because he proved he is exactly the type of person i was talking about in my OP. lmao

posted a message on scripted fights and carebears?
so all the people "flaming" about PVP when it comes to diablo keep referring to people who play PVE (which is what diablo is 99% based upon) "carebears" and saying its because of "scripted fights". so considering diablo has most of the game randomized... items monsters ect. and the choice of billions of different skill combo's. how is PVE in diablo "scripted" and how is someone a "carebear" for playing PVE? also it seems like people are calling people "scrubs" now instead of noobs? I've only been out of the gaming scene a few years but wow... any info would be appreciated thanks.

flaming someone who is stating that other people are flaming for no reason is pretty ironic of you, /clap

His post is no better than the people who post about losing interest..so why can't I flame the flamer flaming the flamed?

really? its no better based on what? if someone posted something saying they hate black people, and then someone posted something saying its messed up that someone is posting about hating black people then the person posting that is just as bad as the person posting about the black people? your logic is completely.. well.. illogical lol. and completely backwards. I'm not saying what they are saying is as bad as racism, I'm just implying that what the "I've lost interest" people are posting is essentially "wrong" in the sense that they OBVIOUSLY care enough to read a fan website + make posts on it, which = they DO care therefor posting in irony.

I must admit. All the people complaining about loosing interest does get a little annoying, considering they visit a fan site and the official forums probably 24/7 which is completely about the diablo series.

Making a post about how annoyed it makes you, only make others who are already annoyed, more annoyed. :D

i didn't say i was annoyed. its just funny that people are complaining. and how would reading a post you agree with make you annoyed? that makes no sense. if your annoyed by the complainers and read a post saying what your thinking by that very definition you wouldn't be annoyed. lol

so I've seen all of these "omg so bored of beta" "omg D3 delayed i dont care anymore". uhm... no your not because your not playing the beta and if you are and your bored then be glad and feel honored and lucky that your 1/1 million that gets to actually play it before everyone else. and yes you do care, you care ALOT. in fact you care so much your reading this post right now about nothing. so yes you care no matter how far blizz pushes D3 back and no matter what they do to the game (within reason :P) you WILL always care and you will of course buy the game and play it 24/7. so please stop being 9 and trying to get attention by saying you "don't care anymore" or your "losing interest", because your FOS.
