I think it is a good move. What is really unoriginal is when a name is taken and people still try to take the name by adding or changing letters until it isn't taken.
For example, the name "Shadow" would become "xXShadoXx" or "Shadow381". It really just spoils the character.
I pre-ordered mine at JBHIFI about 6 months ago, if they dont have it when I get there on the 15th shit is going to hit the fan!
I did the same thing. It was announced at Blizzcon on the weekend. Later that week I ordered it and specifically made sure I was ordering the Collector's Edition, not regular version.
I have since scanned my receipt because it was starting to fade.
Years ago this would have made sense because the AUD was lower than it is now.
I believe that the prices haven't changed because the game retailers know that Australians are willing to pay these prices when the dollar was worth less, so they'll try charge us the same average amount for games hoping we don't notice.
The game + shipping costs from overseas end up usually costing more than retail stores, so there really is no alternative there.

Used the Diablo 3 font for the 'D'. I don't remember the font used for the 'F' atm but I will find out. The flame part was made by me and not related to the original font.
