While I agree that such a situation could garner the unwanted attention of hackers, the security of one's own account generally rests on the shoulder of the consumer, not the business. It's rare that the lack security of companies becomes the reason for account information being compromised (though Sony's foulout is a glaring reminder that it happens). Plus, if people get a hold of one's Paypal information, Diablo 3 is the last thing one has to worry about.

I merely mention the thought that PayPal accounts are notorious for being "easy" to hack into. Through various online vendors, eBay, phishing, etc, account login information can be stolen. I agree with you in that if you were to hack someone's paypal, you wouldn't give 2 cents about their D3 information. I am just dissapointed that Blizzard chose to go with PayPal for this RMAH having to know about the possible issues in security potential.

If the decision were mine, I would use a different company like Dwolla, who although smaller, is more intense in their security, options and customer service to be able to compete with online payment/banking systems like PayPal

As far as third-party payment organizations, Paypal is certainly the most expected. The biggest draw is the fact that they are immense as far as their influence in the online world. Paypal is, effectively, the way to go for online payment of anything. It's fast, easy, and just about anyone who does anything online does so with Paypal, as mentioned.

A smaller note, and one that deals with more shady topics, is that Paypal worked with Blizzard in dealing with many of the RMT organizations (gold-sellers in general terms). That said, it comes to no surprise that these two have been working alongside each other for the good part of the year, and Paypal looks to be the most reliable outlet as far as a safety net away from these RMT businesses when it comes to Diablo 3. Obviously, RMT is going to be an issue with Diablo 3, but, hopefully, this partnership will help diminish, if not destroy, the effect that the business will have on the game.

Although PayPal is certainly one of the most popular online payment method, it is also one of the most hacked. Something that garners large attention also brings negative attention. Already tons of people who play Blizzard games get their game accounts hacked...imagine what people will do when gamers have invested serious amounts of money into their D3 stuff only to have that account stolen, then their PayPal information is right there.

I believe there are more secure options to choose, although less well-known. Because of the sheer volume of people that play Blizzard games, I'm sure it's not an easy choice for them either. Becoming a partner of Blizzard is a big thing for any company I think. Choosing a lesser-known company could have been a really smart move to get them off the ground and really become popular.

@ctdemonet I'm almost 100% certain that "does not degenerate" means that it will not go down out of combat, but skills will still cost fury. However, those 2 traits would still be very useful together.

Once I kind of "voiced my thoughts" by typing here, I realized "yeah...that's probably too broken and having it fill then staying full isn't realistic". If I make beta I plan on going through all the classes but definitely playing through Barb and Wizard first.

Just wondering. It's still gonna have that same formula of D2 where you're looking to maximize DPS on most toons and then have that one MF toon (assuming everyone's gonna make a wizard MFer cause of teleport)

Two things I would really like to see as far as content being produced--
    1) More detailed information about crafting items and destroying things versus selling them and the details behind these mechanics. Most playthroughs/streams I've watched people just use the jordan cauldron to destruct items into scraps. What's the point of this? When/how is it implemented?

    2) It may be too early to do this without gem/rune combinations, but I would really like to see the optimal combinations for maximum damage output. For example, I was looking at some of the barb actives/passives and noticed the following combinations: you could combine the passive "Unforgiving" (You no longer degenerate Fury. Instead, you gain 1 Fury every 5 seconds.) potentially constantly having maximum fury [assuming "degenerate" means not using any for skills and not losing over time] and combine that with the passive "Berserker Rage" (You inflict an additional 20% damage while at maximum Fury.) I am fully aware that the beta probably does not allow your character to pass a certain level, but just wondering if anyone else has thought of this?

    Thanks!
