It has fake written all over it guys. I'm surprised it went so unnoticed.

I don't believe this bullshit for a second, and I suggest you do the same.

I dunno why would MTV lie like that?

Take it easy Djinn, no need for personal attacks. This forum is full of narrow minded people like yourself and Daemaro. If I had known you would be so easily offended I would not have come here.

I like how my name gets thrown into the circle even though I haven't posted in this thread for a while. :D

Yes we're all easily offended on a great level, so maybe you should leave.... Pretty please? :)

He says, "If it isn't one nursemaid its another, hmph."

Yeah knew it was something like that.

He never needed nursemaids in D1 and D2, so maybe he does know he's going to die soon.

    posted a message on Soulstones
Has anyone else noticed that Diablo, Baal, and Mephisto's soulstones were all shattered and corrupted pieces may remain in Sanctuary?

    Mephisto:
Mephisto finally managed to overcome the powers of the Soulstone that imprisoned him enough to influence and corrupt the local priesthood, known as the Zakarum. The Demon then had the priests work spells to shatter the Soulstone into seven shards, breaking the mystic seal and freeing the Lord of Hatred. Mephisto drove the six smaller shards into the left palms of six Zakarum archbishops who were then charged with bringing him nourishment in the form of human sacrifices while running their temple. The largest stone pierced the hand of the Que-Hegan, the highest divine authority of the Zakarum faith. It was this body that the Demon used as his manifestation on the mortal plane, warping the mortal’s form into an approximation of his true visage. For years the corrupted religious leaders of the Zakarum have kept Mephisto supplied with information and misguided followers to carry out his plans of conquest. He eventually met up with Diablo, and the two began to work to enslaving the human race. However, Mephisto was later killed by the same adventurers (or adventurer) that would go on to kill Diablo. Mephisto's Soulstone was destroyed in the Hellforge after his defeat, ensuring his banishment from Sanctuary.
    Diablo:
The Archbishop Lazarus was an ambassador from the Zakarum Church and an advisor to King Leoric. According to the manual to Diablo II - in the form of a letter from the Patriarch of Zakarum - Lazarus was the Custodian of Mephisto's Soulstone in Kurast sometime prior to his arrival in Khanduras. When Leoric set up court in the abandoned Monastery, Lazarus was lured into the monastery's depths by Diablo, where Lazarus proceeded to shatter the soulstone that imprisoned the Prime Evil. After Diablo failed to fully possess Leoric himself, Lazarus brought the King's son, Albrecht, into the labyrinth to serve as the mortal host for the Lord of Terror. After Leoric's death, Lazarus emerged from the Monastery and rallied the villagers into a mob to find Albrecht - but the treacherous Archbishop led them right into the lair of the Butcher.
    Baal:
During the attempt to contain him inside a Soulstone, the stone was shattered and the largest remaining shard was not enough to contain the demon. Tal Rasha, a powerful mage of the Horadrim, volunteered to take on the role of an extended Soulstone and be sealed in a tomb to wrestle with Baal's spirit for all eternity. But Baal's spirit won over the mortal Tal Rasha, and was set free indirectly by his brother Diablo by Marius' intervention.
When you kill Mephisto you only get one soulstone.

What happened to all these shards? Or have I forgotten something.

Not to mention all the shards of the worldstone that are bound to be lying around Arreat Crater.

We know from Mephisto's example with the council that tainted shards can be used to grant enormous demonic power to human beings.

The entire head and left side of the humans body was contorted into a demonic form with immense power. Last we saw, the World Stone was tainted by Baals demonic energies and then shattered into many pieces. What would happen if one being collected all of these pieces, or if they started using these pieces in humans themselves to form an army?

posted a message on Hidden Areas
I remember a couple secret areas in the catacombs in d2 and I haven't played d1 in a while but I think I remember secret areas in it also.

I think they should bring back an abundance of hidden areas, especially now with the destructible environment.

These areas could have unique creatures, mini quests, treasure chests, or even easter eggs.

What if while adventuring under the Tristram Church you happened to hit a wall that you didn't realize was destructible, and a passage opens up that you didn't see before on the map.

You enter the passage and walk a short distance to find a room. You open the room and there are bodies lying everywhere and blood stained all over the walls. Then it hits you, it's The Butcher's old room from Diablo 1!

I think they could add a lot of neat things like this. It would add to the adventurous feel of the game.

    What are your opinions?

I don't see a problem with the health bar, I'd rather it be there than at the top of the screen like in D3.

    It is.

    You can.

    You can.

Those polls that were made here and at diii.net say different. You might want to check on them.

So if I say trade is distruptive to me, it should be removed?

    Still causes grief.

It has if I say it's distruptive to me and it should be removed.

You fail to see the big picture. If the majority says something is disruptive... it is. I don't care how many polls are on diii.net, that's not this forum. For all I know they could all be PKs over there.

Email Blizzard and see if they will put a official poll on the main site. This arguing is going no where as usual.

#3 Daemaro has put up the most compelling arguement i've seen in all of my 4 days in this forum

    Thanks. :)

Although I don't agree with everything Blizzard is doing artwise, I try to look at it in a unbiased fashion.

posted a message on So does anyone agree about respecing?
    Quote from "nzkobc" »
Ok, let me first say that I'm mostly neutral about it(I like the idea respec to be used to balance the economy). I just want you to understand this perspective.

If there is unlimited respec, there is no negative effect to placing a skill point. That changes the economic value of a skill point. It makes each skill point more valuable, and each skill less valuable. It also changes the importance of placing a skill point. If you know its permanent, Then there is a certain importance to every, single, point you place(especially the first time through the game).

I have a small economics background(it was going to be my minor before I dropped out to work on music). So my perspective on this(and everything), relates to that.

I'm not saying respecing is bad, I'm just saying it ultimate has a huge effect on gameplay.

I understand now kind of. I think it should be limited to some extent, but I just know I've accidentally put into a skill without thinking and I can only imagine accidentally doing that on a higher level character and getting extremely irritated.

Yes, it was based on gear more than skills.

I'm talking about the balance between the individual skills inside each class. It's more or less and economic concept.

I still don't get it. I could build pretty much any class with any skills (using a little common sense) and still be able to kill things.

I don't see how it makes anything unbalanced. It's only unbalanced in PvP if people are allowed to respec to their hearts content.
