I'm a believer that there is not a completly cheat proof game. If there is a will for a cheater there is a way, if there is an anti cheat function a hacker will find away around it.
There are not many if all cheats in WoW. But it does not have any new client-server mode like this one have. I really don't know. I know that I would like this system to work mostly for the sake of HC players. I will play HC if this system works.
Rampage glitch
creating mass amounts of epic gems(this patch no-less)
Flying at 900% speed
Reckoning exploit
Myriad of unfair ways to get Love tokens(hello up to 14,000/hour)
Pets that can do over 32 million damage
Instant cast no-cd Seed of Corruption explosions
Hellfire glitch, Duping glitch, Flying glitch, getting to GM island, Bots, etc. These are just a handful of the major ones that have been around in the least few years.
That's to say nothing of the HUNDREDS of smaller glitches that only give a small advantage(AMSing hagara's water makes you invul to it, ice blocking too, Leaving arena gates early, etc etc)
Every game has glitches, bugs, and exploits. Every game has at some point in its lifespan some form of hacks. Every game WILL be comprimised at SOME Point. That's not even including real hackers. If they're good enough, they can do literally anything they want.
Will diablo have issues? OF COURSE. Will their be exploiters? OF COURSE.

-Trapper build
Starting inferno build, meant for when you won't even be able to take a single hit. Drop traps, and entangling to keep them back - toast hatred with rain/cluster.
http://us.battle.net...gdXU!Vfh!bbccbc
-Archer build
Once I'm geared, and prior to inferno. Cluster Arrow / Hungering arrow from a decent range, FoK/Vault to kite groups, Shadow Power+Rapid Fire for bosses. With the added dodge, should be able to outright facetank most things. Will be aiming for 30%+ natural dodge, if this is reachable, if not than as high as I can get.
Monk
http://us.battle.net...XSQi!UYZ!acYZac
- Monk tank build
Pretty self explanatory. Starting Inferno Monk build. Killing speed will be INCREDIBLY slow, but it should have a lot of survivability.
Witch Doctor
http://us.battle.net...hQPk!iSW!aaaYZY
-Summon Witch Doctor
I love me some pets! I'll be messing around a lot with this. It'll, again, probably be a starting-inferno build, that once I get gear I'll move out of into something like....
http://us.battle.net...fUiY!efU!aaZYab
-Firebomb
Keep my dogs, and gargantuan, but now instead of being someone who stays back and cycles buffs, debuffs, and walls - I use offensive firebombs, Grasps, and Spirit Barrage weaving to get mana back. This will be my group build, or possibly my main build once I get gear - depending on how easily things die in inferno.
Wizard
This is who I'm most excited about....
http://us.battle.net...cimP!hYc!abaaZZ
Hydra Wiz! Lots of situationals here. Archon and Familiar for the damage, Teleport and Wave of Force due to the squishy nature of this build. Hydra as a primary spell, and Electrocute for its massive arcane power return. I'm hopeing this turns out well, I want this to be my main - although I'll probably play around with hydra flavors.
http://us.battle.net...lZQm!YcV!ZbcbYZ
Meteor Wiz.
Open up on groups with Blizzard, for the slow, Follow up with an electrocute or 2 for up to 17 Arcane power per, Frost Nova into a double meteor for massive damage. Energy Armor to increase Arcane Power to 125, So you can double meteor without losing Prodigy.
I hate barbarian. Sorry.
I hope these will be good once I get myself into the inferno levels. Looking forward to it!
It's not something that really fits in the diablo universe.
DPS meters in MMOs are there to rate performances of different players. In Diablo though, damage doesn't even matter. It's all about not dying. The only real use for it is to tell which build of yours does the most damage, but that's something you could do RIGHT NOW with pen and paper, and a few hours of time.
As for the whole D2/D3 build thing: I fully accept that some people like to play with nails & wood, while others prefer legos. To each his own. I like the lego approach more, because it makes trying out different skill combinations super easy.
This is just brilliant. Explains exactly what I think about this argument as well.
A build is a build. Just because you can swap specs in WoW on the fly, doesn't make one build not a build anymore.
Open up with Soul Harvest on as many targets as possible, than use Hex on the most dangerous target. Big Bad Voodoo, and Fetish Army and use soulharvest/Hex on cooldown.
If i find that these defense are inadequate, Swap Soul Harvest with Horrify. If I find it's overdoing it, Replace Gargantuan with whatever my prefered attack is of the time. I do really like Corpse Spider, as well as Firebomb... Much to play with there.
I feel this is the safest, most damaging build I could come up with. Obviously you could forego some safety for more damage, but I worry on just how difficult inferno is going to be.
People often miss-understand what exactly the word "Tier" means. D2, for arguments sake, can either have 16, 3, or ~40ish tiers of armor.Light, Mage, Archon are an example of the 3 tier system. cloth leather chain plate etc are an example of the 16 tiers, and listing them by armor values could be categorized in tiers from Quited to Sacred Armor. No one knows exactly how the developers mean it, but since they stated 16 tiers before, I think we can assume that the 'cloth leather chain plate' style is what the meant, but with the loss of stat points, and the fact that armor will only have a level requirement kinda pokes a whole in this. Who knows?
I personally hope we see a much more diverse set of armors, rather than the steadily "building up" armor system we had in diablo 2, where only slight variations, and additions were added per piece. Only time will tell.

It's imo not worth the trouble of implementing.
