    [Devil's advocate]

Unfortunately, for every one of you/us who is self-reliant, socially-responsible, and intelligent enough to (carry on this conversation) get along without the nanny, there are a few thousand mouth-breathing idiots who want to be taken care of or would actually hurt people if they weren't taken care of.

I look at it this way:

    a. The libertarians take over, we become a loose confederacy of christian fascist states (Texas would probably be their regional capital), corrupt oigarchies (Mid-west), and a few liberal republics (west coast, north-east). The fascists would probably start a civil war to eradicate the gays/non-christians and establish an evil empire.

    b. The two-party system continues to keep up somewhere between evil-empire and republic status, allowing for minute changes over time. We still hate ourselves, but at least we don't have to battle redneck preachers with AK's in the streets.

    We are all victims:

"Gotta Serve Somebody" - Bob Dylan

You may be an ambassador to England or France
You may like to gamble, you might like to dance
You may be the heavyweight champion of the world
You may be a socialite with a long string of pearls.

But you're gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You're gonna have to serve somebody,
It may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you're gonna have to serve somebody.

Might be a rock'n' roll adict prancing on the stage
Might have money and drugs at your commands, women in a cage
You may be a business man or some high degree thief
They may call you Doctor or they may call you Chief.

But you're gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You're gonna have to serve somebody,
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you're gonna have to serve somebody.

You may be a state trooper, you might be an young turk
You may be the head of some big TV network
You may be rich or poor, you may be blind or lame
You may be living in another country under another name.

But you're gonna have to serve somebody, yes
You're gonna have to serve somebody,
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you're gonna have to serve somebody.

You may be a construction worker working on a home
You may be living in a mansion or you might live in a dome
You might own guns and you might even own tanks
You might be somebody's landlord you might even own banks.

But you're gonna have to serve somebody, yes
You're gonna have to serve somebody,
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you're gonna have to serve somebody.

You may be a preacher with your spiritual pride
You may be a city councilman taking bribes on the side
You may be working in a barbershop, you may know how to cut hair
You may be somebody's mistress, may be somebody's heir.

But you're gonna have to serve somebody, yes
You're gonna have to serve somebody,
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you're gonna have to serve somebody.

Might like to wear cotton, might like to wear silk
Might like to drink whiskey, might like to drink milk
You might like to eat caviar, you might like to eat bread
You may be sleeping on the floor, sleeping in a king-sized bed.

But you're gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You're gonna have to serve somebody,
It may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you're gonna have to serve somebody.

You may call me Terry, you may call me Jimmy
You may call me Bobby, you may call me Zimmy
You may call me R.J., you may call me Ray
You may call me anything but no matter what you say.

You're gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You're gonna have to serve somebody,
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you're gonna have to serve somebody.

Aside from the hilarity of you following proletaria's lead on that statement.

Come on, you can do better than that. Lets get some substance to your post.

I've got way more smug emoticons and totally support this.

Why would anyone care if they implemented a separate offline single player mode for the people that want/need it to play?

Personally I don't give a dead moose's last shit if it's online only. That said, only a sheep would think the game will be "better" due to the omission of a single player mode. If that bothers you, you're probably a sheep.

Blizzard was the second gunman on the grassy gnoll too.

The death of MF stacking frees up more builds to "farm," with too. I thought the old MF was a pretty silly system myself. It simply rewarded classes and builds that allowed for mf itemization to the exclusion of other stats and generated an entire gearset that had no use except to grind with.

Can you explain to me what you'll do when you reach level 60? Then there's no more leveling up to do. IMO, the only real thing to do is maybe play some pvp if you're into that and then start a new character from level 1. But please elaborate. :)

I'll be looking to optomize my equipment and get into hardcore as my confidence allows.

Personally, I think the endgame is going to be much more elaborate than before and there will be plenty to do when level capped. I find no reason to assume we'll see 60 as the new 99 with no new goals except finding items for our alts and pvp.
