    As I understood it, there is only one banner, and its for your account, not for each character...
    On the same banner you get the diferent cool things while you achive them with the diferent characters, but they represent your account, not your character...
    So I guess once your HC char dies you still get your banner improved up to where he achived..

    Like the first poster said, since we can take gems out and use them again, there is no problem with this since you don't need to be saving your gems for 4 years without using them...
    And its more fun if geting the best gear rly takes a long time...so that ppl aint all the same after playing for a month.

    They didn't say too much about this i think, but imo there will be some options..

    -You can make a party with specific friends    , and in case you are only 2 or 3, you can join someone looking for same quest than you with the matchmaking, or mybe a custom game...etc. If one in the party is more advanced in quests, then the matchamking should put you on the quest of the one who is less advanced...

    -Joining a game alone, this will probably put you with ppl at same quest than you...wich will probably have almost same lvl.

    -Custom games...this games are more or less like D2 ones, you can put the name you want and allow the players you want...etc.

    I think jay said that they will sell gear good enough to fill the gaps of hings you didnt find...but they wont sell great things.
    Anyway, with all the crafting system you should be abel to make something decent for ever part of your armor...
    Being abel to buy rly good gear at the shop would be kinda boring...ppl would spend more time refreshing the shop than killing monsters.

    considering watching the gameplay videos the monk seems to kill the slowest and have the hardest time killing. i sincerely doubt that, lol. and i thought you can't even spam seven sided strike?

    Mybe he was killing ppl at Inferno while the others were at normal..

    As long as you are in the screen where the monster dies, you can get a drop, doesnt matter who killed. And this drop's quality depend only on your own magic finding.
