I usually dont say sarcastic/trolly things like this - but I had a rough day at work and needed so badly to kill some demons - so please pardon me:
Boy, maybe they should have had 9 month beta with 17 patches so they could have practiced patching a few times....

First, that the whole "inferno" slip wasn't just a miss type (didn't really think it was any way)
And second, having a super crazy insnane difficulty level is just what the doctor ordered IMO.
This does raise some interesting questions though. Like, if the difficulty is "flat" through out Inferno, but you get better (the best?) items in inferno, wouldn't it stand to reason that by the end of inferno you would be deystroying everything again? Because you have upgrades?
I mean, of course, you want to feel powerfull with your new items, but to me the conundrum of a 4th (flat) difficulty has always been "how to keep it flat, but still give rewards?"
Any way, I am super excited and I'm sure these questions will be answered in time! (even if its not till release) -

The UBER stuff could be awesome too, depending on how they've made it.
Like others, I'm shocked at how much they will have done to this game in sucha short amount of time

Whats so sad about that is it feels like they almost had it right.. (this is me at my most cynical, keep in mind I still enjoy the game, just not as much as I hoped I would during development) - some of the stuff is just insanely well made / well thought out. But the rest of it feels like they litterally didn't bother thinking ANYthing through twice:
Wait.. maybe we shouldn't let players stack to 500% critical hit damage
Wait.. maybe we should make Legendary / Set items good
Wait.. maybe we should make the Lord of Lies (Belial) NOT the most see through, laughable vilan of al time
Wait.. maybe we should make Azmodan, the "Most Fearsome Battle Comander in all the Burning Hells" not act like a complete idiot, whilst sharing his entire plan with the 1 being in Sancuary (You) who could actually kill him.
Wait.. maybe we should give players somthing else to do other than play 1 act over and over and over and over and over again
Wait.. maybe we shouldn't give Monk's a passive that basically every Monk MUST take
Wait.. maybe we should make WD's pets actually usefull
I could keep going.. I know we all know all this stuff.. I just get frustrated sometimes - its like all this time spent on the game and they didn't really think stuff through that needed to be. Somestuff.. they reiterated and reiterated to the point where it was cut out of the game (Artisan) - while other stuff they were like "Meh.. lets ship it this way and see what happenes".. so frustrating!

Your other two points I agree on.
For me
Loot isn't fun to find - 1 out of 1000 drops are worth selling nowadays
Only ever play act 3 (like you)
Skill/Rune system just doesn't work for me
I love the game, I still play ALOT - but those are my top issues.
Fixes?:
1: Overhaul the loot and how its dropped - new game mode??
2: New game mode, where you find loot (above) needs to provide more options
3: During the first expansion, the skill/rune system needs to be overhauled

Since Plvl 16 (I'm now Plvl27) I've gotten a total of 14 (though I've been in a dry spell the last 2 or 3 Plvls).
Included in those was a decently rolled duel socketed Manticore that sold for 80 mil, a well rolled Bul Kathos mighty weapon that sold for 50 mil and a pretty well rolled Immortal Kings Kings belt that sold for 30 mil.
To answer the above question, I farm act 3 (no bosses, start from Kill Azmodan and clear everything) - I usually play for about 4 hours after work.
PS: and, at Plvl 27 right now, and with full stacks I sit at 335% MF

What "They" did, not he..

I feel like I'm doing good being at Plvl 24 already, but looking at that chart its like I've barely started.
Grats to this character and all - world first is world first - but the fact that it was a "team of players" doing this makes it a bit hard to be too immpressed.
All we found out is that if a Barbarian is being played non stop, not picking up anything but legendaries and (admitedly) being played to near perfect levels of efficiencey, it takes about 2 weeks to get 100 levels. Thats with out stopping at all.
Now, lets say this wasn't being played by a "team" and instead by 1 person, it would take approximately 17% longer (4 1/2 hours of sleep a day). And so, it should take a single person using this same strat about another 58 hours, or 2 1/2 days longer to do.

I still have about 500-700 loh from other items, the two together seem to be plenty to keep me up and should scale while I keep improving the other slots.
I say Life steal is the way to go all the way - once you start thinking "end game" weapon

Go to diabloporgress.com - almost all of the top 50 DPS monks are using skorns.
This guy for example: http://www.diablopro.../Brosim/5528933
230K unbuffed damage..

Holy frikin heck..
Nice calls on all counts - .. crazy..
While your at it, can you tell me if the Cubs will win the series in my lifetime??

Here is why:
In Diablo 2, the only items worth trading were VERY VERY rare, and were only ever NOT rare because of item duping.
Well, what has happened with Diablo 3 is that the existance of the AH sort of "derailed" the natural curve of gearing up during the first few months of the lifetime of the game, so, items that should have been found on your own (not that great/rare and needed to progress into Inferno) were easily buyable on the AH.
Now, we are back to how Diablo 2 was, in that the only items worth trading (selling on the AH) are super rare, near perfectly rolled items.
So, what I'm saying is, the AH was a problem for a while, but now, I think its damage is done, and we are left with what we should have been expecting in the first place, a place to quickly post the items you find that are REALLY rare and worth someones time/effort to buy because its that good.
So, you'll be able to buy gear that lets you do Inferno for practically nothing, but to get to godly levels of gear will take LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of farming to find the occasional godlike piece to sell for 100+ million gold, which you can then use to buy 1 single godlike piece that fits your needs.
TL/DR: The AH did its damage, but now I'm fine with it.

But I think that this is EVEN MORE proof that Diablo 3 is back on track - diablo shouldn't be about building a crazy difficult end game exculsively (there needs to be another mode for that, not just the normal gameplay) it needs to be about finding gear and slaughtering hordes of monsters using diverse sets of skills that are fun to choose from.
This opens up even more build possibilities and I love it.
Two thumbs up from me.

I'm now Paragon level 23 and since those first 3 I've gotten about 8 others - 2 of which were worth quite a bit. I got a Barb set belt that sold for 30 mil and a double socket Manticore that sold for 65 mil.
I used money to buy a 1200 socketed 1h sword with 600 loh and 3 % life steal (proly over paid for the weapon, but oh well)
In retrospec I wish I had bought 2 leoric signets for the extra XP - but heres hoping I find more good items
Item value in d3 is def stretching like a rubberband. Everyday the items that are considered SUPER good are getting less and less valuable. Stuff that sold for 5 mil a month ago sells for 50k now, sooner than later, it will either be worthless or worth like 600 million.

No clue if it was an intended change or not, but I have noticed it. 3 or 4 mobs stacking their molten is enough to hurt my monk pretty bad.
