For D3 I really don't think new classes are necessary. There are plenty of unused legendary gems, skills, passives, that could be put into use by modifying existing or new legendaries. Perhaps they should make something amazing again from Mempo of Twilight, Skorn or Echoing Fury like it was in the beginning.

Pus posted a message on OMG, GR 128 in 10 mins, crazy combo.Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionThe very definition of an exploit is using methods you know are not intended to your advantage. It works yes, but everyone knows it shouldn't, therefore, they are exploiting the fact that it does.

Bagstone posted a message on Max Stash TabsPosted in: Diablo III General DiscussionYup. Not saying your solution is perfect - it still looks a bit clumsy to me, especially once you consider a 4th and 5th row - but better than the current implementation. It's such a mess, and the biggest piece of evidence that there is no interface design expert in the D3 team (or his/her input is dismissed).

I'm good at reading
*While the Ghost Kerrigan Wings can be unlocked by completing your quest in Heroes of the Storm starting next week, they will be unavailable for use in Diablo III until Patch 2.6.0 is released in your region. Stay tuned to the official Diablo III site for more details.

tend2it posted a message on HOTS event with D3 rewardPosted in: Diablo III General DiscussionWhen you complete the Malthael's Bargain event (on PC), after the 15th match is completed, a screen will pop-up showing "Leoric's Phantom" horse mount unlocked. Once it is unlocked, you can check your mounts inventory to see it (as "owned") / select it for your characters (anytime). The Malthael's Bargain event (listed by clicking the "!" icon bottom middle right of screen, where Special Events are listed too) only appears when you invite a friend to the game and will disappear once the event is completed. Solo games will not display it. So to test it, invite a friend to check if the event is still listed. If listed, it also shows how many games were completed out of 15 before completion. I just completed it playing WD Nazeebo specialist and my friend played Diablo as newbs and leveled to 7. Most were with AI teammates and enemies, but the last few were with other seasoned players (those actually went a lot faster ~ 4-5 mins). Just pick a lane and attack to the core. Game on.

DinkieBwaa posted a message on HOTS event with D3 rewardPosted in: Diablo III General DiscussionI made an account just to help y'all out. AI beginner games can be done in under 5min if you have the right hero options. Sgt. Hammer/ Slyv combo usually does this very well. But those aren't Diablo heroes. Last time they have a restricted quest it was WoW based and for that week lots of heroes from WoW universe were free. I foresee them doing the same for this.
Here's all that matters in getting this done as fast possible. Nazeebo (witch doctor) and Azmodan. Both of these heroes are easy to play. If you pick Azmodan notice you have a D ability. You and your friend should really be one of these heroes. Another great option would be Sonya. She has great early game lane clear. Li-Ming (wizard, can also hit towers without being hit) she's a bit on the harder side to play to her full potential though.
Another thing about maps. if you are on a map with bosses push in the same lane they will (Usually top or bottom. I go top on warhead due to more warheads spawning on top part of map). Clear to keep, go get boss, finish the game. If a map doesn't have a boss usually the objective is (Haunted Mines) get the skulls and push.
All in all though, AI beginner should at most take 12mins~ For real don't sweat it. They will let you beat them in the face. -

Thanks, that did indeed help, Just a follow-up to Azmodan (who's my favorite) and you saying "you don't need support": Without support we feel like we lost a lot of health and have to fall back (or even hearth and heal) which always costs a minute or so. Not good if you want to keep games short. Also, high-level abilities - such as Azmodan's heal - are useful but best case you don't even reach those high-level endgame levels... if you get those 3-5 minute wins that people keep talking about (but I've yet to see).Quote from BlackcurseLT»
put the game on begginer AI mode. i dont think anyone has ever lost against this. say you are 3 friends playing together, trust me, even by doing nothing the other 2 guys WILL carry you succesfully even if they are not pros.
now if you want to contribute to the game, group up and start pushing one lane. focus on that one lane until you get to the core. and then focus on objectives or getting the boss to help you. thats basically it and you are done.
as for which characters to take, valla is crazy strong and simple, just buff her auto attack talents and she will kill heroes and minion waves in seconds. azmodan is very good at dealing damage to structures and minions, buff his beam talents for safe/max damage against towers. and my personal favorite, sonya. take seismic slam talents and WOTB heroic and just stomp everything. xul/nazeebo are also very strong.
avoid tanks and supports against AI. the only defense you need is your minion waves, while those are alive towers shoot at them first before targeting you. core does aoe damage to all of you near it though so you cant just go at it alone, azmodan with max beam talents candamage it with beam without taking damage since you out range it.
hope that helps, happy grinding.

Demonmonger posted a message on Patch 2.5.0 = Minor Patch?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
And then there are people like this, born with an entitlement that EVERYTHING THEY WANT, they also deserve.
We have gotten to a point in the game life where adding 1 new item per class (or adding a legendary power to an useless legendary that it's still useless almost 5 years after the game was released) is enough for some people to consider a patch as meaningful.
Those same folks will just stare angrily at you and ask why are you expecting the game to deliver new stuff on a B2P game with no subscription.
Some people are born to behave like happy lambs...
Yeah, even with the addition of things that should have been in the game since launch, like the armory or the crafting mats storage, it doesn't feel like a major patch for me either.
You decide which one is in a better situation. -

Bagstone posted a message on Patch 2.5.0 = Minor Patch?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion- New feature: armory
- New feature: crafting mat storage
- Primal ancient items
- Several items and sets changed
Not sure how you can argue for this being a "minor patch".

What I'm more annoyed about is that I'm going to have to refarm all my ancient weapons that have these damage ranges buffed as some of the existing items will, at the very most, be retroactively bumped up to the maximum of the current live damage range. They should at the very least change it to the minimum of the upcoming damage range. Some items like Gavel of Judgement are getting a 5x damage buff which basically makes any ancient/primal version of that weapon obsolete compared to a normal version come the patch.

Timer on the current CR indicates it will still be active when season goes live. Considering the contents aren't that big a boost for most of us in NS, I'd wait till season start before doing the CR and earning the cache.

Necroing a thread with a Necro... now that's doing it in style!

I'm gonna take guess that the speed boss kill this season will be Vidian.

My priorities for what what I want to see in this game:
1. Make all sets viable - at the moment, stuff like Akkhans, Rolands, Natalyas, Immortal Kings, Vyrs, and Uliana lag behind on their own. Getting them to be competitive is necessary. I'd also like the devs to be more open minded to passive play styles such as the old M6 sentry build. Sometimes, you just want a brain dead build to play when it's 10pm+ at night, you've had a hard day at work and need to unwind. After a day of spreadsheeting, the last thing I want to look at are whether I have my 8 buffs/debuffs active.
2. Make LON support non-ancient items - it's annoying making a LON build in that you have to either get all the items you need in ancient or at least a good number of them in ancient before the build is viable to run. It would be good if non-ancient items grant, say, 50% or 60% of the damage buff/reduction that ancients add on.
3. In game shop sells stash tabs, character slots, and cosmetics
4. Add in more Acts into the campaign which can then be used in Adventure Mode - Lyndon's story isn't finished and there are so many more areas in Sanctuary we haven't been to yet.
5. Revise paragon system past P800 - I actually fundamentally agree with the dev's original approach of streamlining the skill system to make it more accessible and thus the 1-70 experience is where it needs to be. Paragon 2.0 was also very accessible for players getting into end game... it let the player focus on gearing an use paragons to round out stats that were lacking. With augmentations being included to bump up our main stat, we really need a third tier now that adds in the complexity that players are use to in ARPGs. I dunno if at this point, unlocking skill trees is the way to go but that concept has worked well enough. This would then be a means for players to start a character and get use to the skills, spend time gearing and defining their build, then add some specialisation to the build.
6. Add in another Dex and Str class.

Though, if you play seasons, do realise that you'll have to do it all over again in just under 4 weeks.

I'll just be using a ruby with leoric's crown in cube, plus a hellfire ring and gem of ease in weapons I find during my play through of the campaign. It'll mean I'll be able to equip more of the items I find and enjoy those than to use stuff I've tried out countless times already.
2
Depending on how much of the content you want to enjoy, for those who are planning to go through the campaign in NS and enjoy the gear they drop I suggest a few things:
1. Don't wear Leoric's Crown, just cube it. That way you can use what ever helm (esp the necro specific ones) that drops with a socket.
2. Don't use an ancient weapon with GoE until higher levels and only if you don't drop a decent weapon. Use Furnace and CoE in cube so that you get a bit of a damage boost with using found weapons.
3. Use a HF ring with a high amount of +damage range, vit, life regen... put a high level gizzard in it. It'll keep you alive at Torment difficulties.
Should get one to 70 or relatively close by the end of the campaign whilst playing at Torment difficulties.
