People seem to forget about the fact that the new level 60 legendaries can be rerolled 10 minutes into RoS.

Get a better damage 1hander, then get a shield that has a load of strength on it. 2handers are for the birds.

Why strength over Int? Strength is going to boost my armor not my dps, correct?

I also have about 25% IAS on my two rings that does help.

Sorry, meant int (or whatever your particular dmg stat is).

But yeah, IAS goes a long way.

Also, 12% IAS is better than 180 strength, damage-wise. You can buy amulets and rings with IAS/vit/str.

posted a message on How are you doing in Inferno?
I'm farming act I without issue* (I soloed the Skeleton King first try without deaths, with 5 nephalem valor stacks even)

    This is my build: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#bPYkTR!SbV!aYYcbZ

I have very similar stats to previous posters: 33k health, 7700 armor (71% dmg reduction), and 12k damage. I have 160+ on all resists (including the 50 from War Cry rune).

Using CDs sparingly allows for longevity - i.e. don't pop all of your cooldowns at once. Get a feel for particular situations and use one at a time, using the Ground Stomp stun strategically, etc.

I should also mention that I have some life leech off my weapon (3%); I find that this helps a great deal in large packs (take the life gained from Cleave's normal damage, plus the 85% done to everything in the area when I get a killing blow with it as well).

*One qualification: I do all rare packs except for those that include invulnerable minions (unless they're mere skeletons).

This is the build my friend (who is in Inferno act I) uses to solo Hell: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/monk#ajXfQg!ZcU!cbbZaa

I think the biggest thing is to constantly buy weapon upgrades from the AH. He bought high damage weapons, and stacked fire resist for One With Everything.

For elites, you'll have to kite. For the chainers, stay on the outside, etc.

It's not an average; the bar always appears full until you have one dog remaining, and then you actually see it decrease. Until then it's full and there's just the number of dogs you have.

Nobody talks about how getting good at LoL microing will make you a better pvper in D3 :(

LoL is such garbage, I will be pissed off if D3 resembles it in any aspect besides the click to move.

There are very few games I would call "garbage." They are out there, but I don't think LoL is one of them. And either way, the way games often evolve is by taking familiar features from previously successful games. However unfortunate you want to say it is, WoW is an influence to D3, LoL is an influence to D3, etc. etc. That said, D3 will be its own game, and it will be good.

posted a message on What class do you think will be on top?
Most people are highlighting a few characteristics or abilities that a particular class has, and then based on certain assumptions (i.e. that "this class has a lot of cc" or "this class has a lot of healing") they judge that it will be the best. I think it's difficult to say with certainty just which class will be best, but I think if you look at certain factors that other games have (and I know people don't like to talk about League of Legends, but many of the archetypes/abilities are present in D3), with the right skill on the part of the player, any of the classes could be dominate. Who knew a straight bone necro would be good in D2? Or the "BVC" barb with leap?

From what I've heard as well as what I've seen (including Choogar's pvp arena videos from Blizzcon 2011), I'm actually pretty happy with how things look for the Witch Doctor. Poison dart was more than viable as a single-target dd spell, and Hex with that increased damage rune was just bonkers. Spirit walk is notable as well, both in terms of escape as well as offensive set-up. It's a mistake to try to pigeonhole the WD as a summoner.

Obviously everyone will have their favorites for various reasons, but it looks like things will be fairly balanced. It's anybody's guess which class will come out in the end as being demonstrably better than all other builds.
