posted a message on Want Horde Mode in Diablo 3!
If anything at all the only different game modes should be PVP modes, not PVE modes. Think about item hunting and such, and EXP. I doubt people would play other types of PVE game modes if they couldn't get items/exp from it and it just wouldn't make any sense to add a PVE mode like that when taking items/exp into consideration.

IMHO the only different "game modes" from the regular game itself should be pvp modes.

posted a message on D3 NEW WEBSITE UPDATE
It's a time-based cool down on pots. Not sure what the length is but I am guessing 2 - 4 minutes.

I like the article on health globes. I wasn't too sure about them until I read it and that helped fortify my opinion of them somewhat. I'll take anything over potion spamming and I guess this is the only real viable-working solution to counter potion spam other than ridiculous cooldowns.

Did anyone else notice that bit about health skills from the article?

You might have a class skill that can help you regain health, but health-restoration skills are specialized, require careful play, and usually incur consequences.

Interesting to say the least. I'm basing an assumption off that, that... I really doubt life leech is going to be in the game now like it was in diablo 2 if they are adding health-restoration skills to the game. In fact I'd probably bet money on it. I doubt they would add a health-based skill in the game if you could just get an item that did it for you instead.

posted a message on Binding Gear
I think binding gear is a way to slow the economy down thats for sure but I don't think it hinders the economy or breaks it in any way. As long as it isn't BoP (bind on pickup) then you can still trade that item if you do not need it or are looking to get something else instead of using whatever you just found by means of trading.

There will be plenty of gold sinks. There are still unmentionables I'm sure that they have not told us about. They reassured us all many times that gold would be valuable. It is needed for crafting and potentially buying crafting materials from other players in which gold may also still hold some value if they make an auction house system based on gold as well.

I wouldn't worry too much about it to be honest. The team working on this game is a lot smarter and way more creative and way more technical//better technology to work with than the team that worked on diablo 2 had. There wont be any gigantic and obvious mistakes like there was with diablo 2. That game was made a long, long time ago. People tend to forget that. Things like gold sinks and such were completely overlooked in those days. I really wouldn't worry about it.
