posted a message on Barbs, It's Time to Speak Up!

Wyatt Cheng has posted a Developer Chronicle detailing the upcoming buffs to Wrath of the Wastes. In it, he says this:

In the case of the Barbarian, it makes sense that Wrath of the Wastes will always be a favorite when it comes to chilling out and farming Rifts. But it may not be the best choice for pushing your solo Greater Rift. We’re okay with some sets serving specific purposes and the Whirlwind playstyle has a special place in our collective Barbarian hearts, so we hope to see some changes to support the playstyle in a future patch.

No, Mr. Cheng. It does not make sense.

WW was the top build in Eras 3 and 4. Now, it's a joke--an under-powered, under-performing relic that has been in dire need of a buff for three whole patches. What's worse, in each of these patch PTRs, I've made Feedback threads requesting just that--threads that have gotten 200+ upvotes and more views and comments than any other PTR thread each and every time.

To be blunt, this is a slap in the face to all the Barbs who have spent time, energy, and patience with the game asking, pleading, and begging for WW and Wastes to get updated. It's a slap in the face to a community that has asked for a GR viable build for three whole patches. It's a blunt dismissal of the player base and a huge middle finger to us Barbs. And that is not okay.

Let me speak for you a moment and correct me if I'm wrong.

We don't want Wastes and WW to be necessarily better than MOTE or Raekor.

All we're asking for is to make it viable.

So, Barbs, it's time to speak up. If you, too, want to see WW return to glory, I'll ask you do the following:

          1. Head over to the Developer Chronicle here:

        2. Post your own feedback.
          3. Include a link to my recent thread:

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/20748516587

      4. Make it clear: WW is not just for speed-farming!

posted a message on WTF.....ww barb clear gr89!!!

Folks, this isn't a new build -- it's the Zodiac WW build that's been around since Season 4. A full guide can be found here:

Warning: it's much weaker than Raekor or MOTE at the moment.

As you can see in the video, he got a GG rift and mobs (Floor 1 Spire with fatties, zombies, summoners, and thralls, Floor 2 and with same mobs on Crater, and decent floor 3 Realmwalker), a very good Conduit pylon. He made 80%+ of his progress on Floor 1 and actually lost time on Floors 2, and 3 due to some bad mob affixes. RG was Crusader King, an easy win (though not the ideal RG). He would improve his damage by swapping Taeguk for Trapped and using Diamonds in gear. He's also got 100+ augments on everything (23k+ main stat), so gear and gems aren't a problem for him.

dude that guy has 3000+ paragon :facepalmsign:

    Correct.
You, too, can have lots of paragon if you play efficiently and stop pubbing. The player in question achieved that level by playing efficiently since Paragon was introduced. He's also played legit the entire time -- no bots, no THud, no third party software. And considering that the current EQ builds are weaker than Raekor (which will change dramatically next patch), this is quite an accomplishment.

What did i miss, i dont see any "dramatically" change at all for EQ and Raekor next patch ?
EQ hasn't changed unless you count the new Girdle, which I don't think is viable.
But the changes to CC have nerfed Raekor into the ground. Two charges = total CC immunity = no Parthans = dead.
    Bye bye Raekor.

Seriously who gives a damn about ns? Never really understood why ns-players take pride in clearing higher GR

There are many players, myself included, who do not like Seasons. In my opinion, all Seasons do is divide the greater player base into incompatible modes and attract the least-informed and most toxic players.
It's fine if you prefer seasons. No matter what, this is a legit accomplishment from a player I know and trust. No bots, no THud, nothing. Just a lot of build innovation, skill, and GR fishing.

This is the top EQ clear in the world, folks.

Raekor, with its broken mechanics, has cleared higher.
