Oct 1, 2009Oulvine posted a message on Diablo III, the Female MonkI can't recall, but i though i heard/read somewhere that Diablo 3 Characters would have some sort of customization option as far as physical appearance. I wonder, is it possible to set up your own hair style/color when making a character? Granted you might not be seeing too much of your character close enough for it to matter too much, except maybe in in-game cut scenes, but it'd be pretty sweet to customize things like that. If my Wizard has a long mane of white/gray hair, it'd be easier to pick her out of the splashy gory bloody magical mess i think we all hope multiplayer will bePosted in: News

Sep 29, 2009Oulvine posted a message on What Do YOU Want To Know About Diablo 3?In World of Warcraft it was extremely easy to customize hotkeys for menus and whatnot. Any plans for Diablo to be as easy to customize? 'take screen shots? Can we still manipulate iTunes from within the game with the stroke of a hotkey we set up ourselves?Posted in: News
Also, how about chatting? Again, with the stroke of a hotkey i set up, i can yammer away with my group members?
All these were good idea's in wow, they seem like good thing to bring to the diablo party
Sorry this wasn't about classes and items and spells, i couldn't think of any other questions that might actually get a real response
Sorry if any of this has already been addressed, i've only recently begun digging around for every scrap of D3 info i can find, i'm sure i've missed quite a bit. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Blizz should launch a D3 energy drink, call it "Bloodthirst" or name it after an iconic ability!

Thank you for recognizing the difference between a vampire and a lich
I might humbly suggest that a lich would fight for itself above anything else, and if the lich and humanity have a common goal, the lich may dupe the human race into helping him/her/it, so long as they continue to share a goal. But i would agree that Lichs (lich's? Liches?) are commonly evil, so it's a big stretch to call them a "Hero."
I lost my D2 manual a long time ago, but i recall the Necromancers story having a lot to do with spiritual balance, though the grim nature of their craft led common people to believe they were "evil."
Long story short, Witch Doctor is a fine name for the class.
Sorry, i ramble sometime.

I think there will be options for humor in the "hirelings" you get in D3, which seem to be watered down pet class tagalong guys who lives are measured in ticks of the second hand God bless, little guys!
Anyway, i guess my vague point is, Dark humor is good, i have nothing against it. Keep the humor as dark as the game and life will be one big grooooooove

I wonder if the wizards spells have a mana (or whatever it's called) range like that? It'd be volatile, thats for sure!
I was thinking as well of how Blizz says they've drawn inspiration for D3 from old pen and paper fantasy games to some degree. I wonder if you can have a spell fizzle slightly and not be as effective, but use less mana (or whatever) OR sometimes even..Overcast, i guess? Like, do more damage and blow everything up but use up a little more energy than expected?
I just remember reading on the wizards page how she's "young and reckless and not given to studying magic the old conservative way," i think erratic casting might play well with that young and reckless theme.
Of course, it could be tough to implement into a game, you never know
Thoughts?
Sorry if any of this was already covered, my internet and letters are in some sort of trial separation hope it works out!

And as it's been said, there are lots and lots of other evil demons and whatnot, beyond the big three. Maybe another demon inherits their powers? You never know
Rest assured blizz will think of something!!
