You know, the same thing kind of happened with Team Fortress 2 for each of the playable classes. And the devoted fans went out and created their own 'meet the....' videos before Valve could release the official ones themselves!
So do we have any talented video editors out there that would like to make their own take on the barbarian or witch doctor trailers?

Oct 26, 2010yeah but then that kind of gives an advantage to classes that can teleport quickly to a location to nab the health orbs before other classes can.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
ex. witch doctor doesn't have a teleport, so 2 witch doctors vs 1 wizard 1 barb would be very hard for the witch doctor team to grab the orbs
also if the orbs always spawn at exactly 1 minute time into the fight, the players will know this and play will revolve around grabbing them. I would rather that they spawn at a completely random time during the fight, but not within the first 1 minute of play.
Oct 26, 2010morpha posted a message on you give permission for _____ to loot your corpse...In hardcore difficulty on D2, it was possible to give permission for other players to loot your corpse in the event of your untimely death. That system was kind of clunky. You would end up giving permission to a total stranger, who just might be nice and give you your items back, or he might take your godly items for himself and log out for the rest of the day to your dismay.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
So in Diablo 3, will that system be coming back? Will it be merged with some sort of friends list, who can be given a perpetual "can loot me if I die" status? Or more likely, will a new mechanic replace that old system entirely? With the announcement of a shared stash in Diablo 3, it wouldn't be out of the question for your characters that are still alive to be able to peek inside your dead characters inventory and stash, and loot the items directly, so there is never any risk of losing your loot if you die.
Unless, of course, you step into the new pvp arena system, which puts an end to duels where the players would just chicken out and run back into town. Will players be able to set up a 'high stakes' duel where the winning team will get to loot the bodies of the losing team?
With Jay Wilson confirming that the game is more than 50% done, we shouldn't have much longer to wait to find out.
Oct 23, 2010correct, so we might see lightning traps, fire traps, arcane traps, traps that slow mobs, traps that do more aoe damage.Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands
traps that have a larger radius, bounce, stick, or are completely redesigned. (ex. instead of throwing a grenade, maybe throw acid or throw caltrops)
also perhaps demon infused traps (they talked about using demon organs). Or traps that affect different types of demons differently.
did you see the witch doctor giant frog that eats enemies? the sky is the limit with diablo 3.
Oct 19, 2010Each of the classes will be fun to play and will be able to solo all difficulties of game content.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
I don't want hell difficulty to be a cake walk for any class though. It should be, well, hard. But not Nintendo hard.

I'm vaguely confused actually - didn't the heroes of diablo 2 go mad? In which case how did the barbarian survive 'intact'? Or is he really not very intact, he's just fully functional in a... less than functional way?
Mount Arreat is home to many Barbarians. The Barbarian you play as in Diablo 3 is not the exact same one that you played in Diablo 2. Although you could roleplay that it is still the same character if you wish.
Oct 12, 2010I would really like to see the in-game economy stand the test of time. If someone finds a dupe bug that doesn't get fixed and all of a sudden most people in public games that I play with are using godly items that are obviously not 'legit' then I would not be a happy camper.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Or some kind of bug that allows you to kill other players, even if they are in town, and steal *all* of their hard earned gear somehow.
That would probably cause me to have to go outside and calm down for a few minutes.
Oct 11, 2010I loooooooooooove this art. Even though it is not 2011 yet, I have it hanging on my wall (it is in the Diablo 3 2011 calendar that Blizzard sells in their store).Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
The only thing I find curious about this artwork is that, is that supposed to be Diablo he is standing over? Or another demons head?
Oct 10, 2010I tend to agree. Blizzard should not be looking to reinvent the wheel here for rpg roles. They already have a holy warrior, the monk, so i dont think the paladin is a likely choice for the 5th class. The monk also satisfies fast paced melee class that is lightly armored, so a rogue or assasin class would also have too much crossover.Posted in: Unannounced Class
Perhaps a fusion of the hunter and the druid? A bow user that can also shapeshift and command a single powerful pet?
Oct 10, 2010Hi,Posted in: Introduction
I recently repurchased d2, and am very excited as we get closer to the release for diablo 3. I bought the 2011 diablo 3 calendar to help count down the days In style when the time comes.
The game itself looks awesome even in this unfinished state. Compared with, say, Torchlight 2, I know that the multiplayer will be very polished and to last for years of enjoyment and replayability.
I will probably roll a wizard first as my main character in d2 was a level 99 hardcore meteor sorceress with legit sojs and legit occulus!
I will be more active on these forums as time goes on ;-)
