Keep in mind while you're reading this. I am going strictly off of what i have seen in beta gameplay.
I feel as if blizzard got a bit lazy in the animation department, specifically weapon animation in the Monk class. For the barbarian, most of his skills fully incorporate his weapons. The wizard, being a caster doesn't really need to do much but hold the weapon. The witch doctor although is sort of a dagger wielding caster, but will he really ever use that dagger? The monk, though strongly focused on dealing damage with the fists, usually keeps his weapons nice and clean and holstered on his back, kind of boring, makes the weapons seem pointless even though they factor into skills by weapon damage percentages and what not. The demon hunter is fine, obviously.
What i would love to see is weapons being incorporated into the skills of the monk. I realize most skills for this character won't and can't involve weapons, but i think some definitely can.
For example, what if for the monk's "deadly reach" skill, instead of just throwing his weapon on his back for that first punch/jab. He jabs with his weapon, be it a sword, javelin, dagger, bo staff even a club. I think it would look way better, and would make more sense. Would it not?
Out of all of his skills this is not the only one that has potential for more use of weapon animations.
Tell me what you think, what skills do you think would look better with weapon animations? What skills do you think would look worse with weapon animations? Do you think the monk's animations are fine the way they are? I think the potential for the monk's skills to look and feel more sensible has been overlooked. Has it?
I predict that Deckard Cain will somehow turn into diablo, the forces of evil will consume him and you will have to save him. i think its a cool idea, and i think it might happen. who knows?!?!
I think fist weapons would be kick ass. Especially if youre a fan of The Way of The Hundred Fists. All that damage from youre fists on every punch. I wonder if when you use a skill that doesnt use the staff, if it then uses the staffs damage percentage even if you arent using it. Does any body know the answer to this?
I just want to get peoples opinion on the four player partys. I know it hasnt been finalized yet, but im really hoping that they make it 5! It would make more sence seeing there are 5 classes. I just really hope that they go "People are right. We should go 5 people"
Tell me your thougths
I think any more than 4 people on the screen in Diablo 3 would be too much. If you watch the Monk gameplay video, when they have a full party, theres alot of shit going down in a small area, mainly because Blizzard wanted to make more powerful looking skills. I think if i was playing in Diablo 3 as any character, i would take more space to kill over more people to kill with any day.
I think it would be cool if you could use a 360 controller to play diablo, it might be difficult to replace the mouse, but think of how it could make combat a little more fast paced with all of the controls right in your hand so close together instead of on a keyboard...
