I agree that none of these things are needed, but CEs are about the extras, not just the pretty box. I'd be most excited to see these things in the CE:

*World Map
*Soundtrack
*Booklet of artwork
*Cain's Journal
*Prima Guide or discount on it, most game stores do this anyway though.

Maybe the smaller things like a potion or coin could be things you get for pre-orders.

I think other things like T-shirts and action figures should only be sold separately, possibly at a discounted price if you buy them at the same time as the game, regular or CE.

I hate to admit it, but aside from D3, Sims3 is the only game I'm waiting for. BTW, the release date has been delayed "in the interest of investing more time and effort to make the marketing campaign for the game more innovative." There was no mention at all of fixing bugs or making any changes to the game with the extra time. New release date: 02 June 2009.

Diablo is all about the loot and in D3 town portals are either eliminated or much more rare like potions (replaced with the waypoint/checkpoint system). Since you can't use portals as often/as freely as before (if at all), more equipment will have to be left behind unless we have a system that doesn't restrict how much we can pick up so much. The one item per slot system, with no weight limit, would be nice. Possibly with multiple tabs/"bags" so that slots are not tiny nor does the inventory take so much space on the screen. The ability to scroll over/right click an item to see a larger image and specs would be really nice too, rotating the item could be done but might be hoping for too much (and would mean waiting a bit longer for the game).

I like the tetris system, but I'm not sure it would work as well in D3.
