Ladies and gentlemen, I give you: Les Claypools Frog Brigade.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxSyHkntkzo

Also a variation of the Frog Brigade dubbed Les Claypool's Fancy Band.

Seriously a great live jam band. I would definetly reccomend their two disc live cd, where they cover Pink Floyd's Animals in its entirety. Its amazing.

And yes there are other Zeppelin fans who enjoy more than stairway and whole lotta love. I seriously have every last scrap of their music, they are truly a great live band. Also Echoes is indeed amazing. Probably the most artistic lyrics I have ever heard.

There are a healthy amount of people who do things just like this, using odd ball builds for fun and challenge - The Amazon Basin, Lurker Lounge, and Realms Beyond just to name three communities each with thousands of members, not to mention the mod communities. These people are neither stupid nor counter productive. There are more than a handful of these people credited on the Arreat Summit, including the guy who brought you the Diablo bible, Jarulf's Guide.

Well now, that depends on how you define "really worked". It doesn't have to mean it makes your characters more powerful, there's dem things called fun, variety and Challenge. One of the (if not the) earliest Diablo variant is called BNM, short for Beyond Naked Mage, who uses nothing but cursed items and takes pride in using the most cursed gear; and does 3@30.

Variants is what we do, challenge is what we live on. Here's a link to our most recent team variant that beat Hell Baal in Hardcore. The concept is simple, every toon in The Low Rent Legion use level one skills only.

Here's a List of 130+ such variants we play

WOW! Really? First time poster, please be gentle.

This is exactly what Im talking about.
Oh and to Modern: "Extra! Extra! Read all about it. Pinball Wizard, miracle cure!" Lol, you didnt get that memo?

For me the very core of a game quality is the exercise of reverse engineering. If you have two tools to overcome a challenge and already know that one is bad and the other is good, why would you care to use the bad one ?

I dont know maybe because I find it more fun/interesting/challenging. In my opinion the limitations are unnecessary.
