interesting...we dont even know what was the result of the battle between tyrael and baal...who won? or did baal do something to tyrael to corrupt him..?

Tyrael wasn't corrupted at that point but form the beginning, the master plan was the destruction of the worldstone in order to let the evils of hell enter the world to wreck chaos with tyrael as the mastermind of course they would fight the heavens and have better odds in the human realm.
the soulstone were a prominent for power for the 3 prime evils(gave them more power and control in the human realm)
now that the prime evils come directly from hell they have a great amount of more power because they are in they're pure forms
tyrael wasnt harmed or anything when we found him at the end of act II even though he fought both baal AND diablo(odd no?)
tyrael let baal corrupt the worldstone before he destroyed it so it would open the gates of hell
more angels are aligned with tyrael as well that one dude from the river of flames that never got attacked by the demons as we stood there and fought(name slips my mind atm)
when tyrael told marius to run to the portal to the gates of hell (note: ALL 3 PRIME EVILS WERE THERE) he wanted him to get caught and give the stone back to baal which of course impowers him(as a part of my theory)
