Jul 11, 2009exen88 posted a message on A bit of cool info about loot systemI have been thinking about this loot system. It might seem that if everyone gets their own loot than i guess the chances of people finding a rare item is more likely because more people means more individual drops and that accounts to higher percentage in one item drop. Unless, blizzard says otherwise.Posted in: News

So you can't see what other players on your team gets for drops?! That's pretty sad imo. Imagine killing a boss because you know he has a chance of dropping an item perfectly suited for your character. Now there's only a certain percent chance that the item will fall into your hands and if it does not, you wont ever know if the boss really dropped the item or not because you can't see your teammates drops.
Well, its a good loot system because it is fair, even more so than D2's loot system. Just remember the times when you do Baal run. You were the one who ended up killing him but yet you didn't get the loot you wanted because someone else was faster at clicking than you were. Now that won't ever happen again, you get your own loot and it will be different from others. they will not know what you have nor will you know what they have. Until they decide to talk or drop their item, you will know. What you don't know won't hurt you, after all.
Quote from "Erebus" »I like that idea of having an item become global to all players after a specific amount of time, however we aren't sure how the inventory system works exactly right now and they have suggested giving the player a more flexable system that doesn't require "tetris" space organizing so I can't say if it would ever really be a problem that a player can't pick up an item. I'd imagine in D3 there will be a much larger "economy" online and that no matter what drops players would be able to sell the items for cash to an NPC etc and then it would become open to the global market for a price anyway. In that case, like everyone before has said, if you are playing with a fair minded friend it shouldn't be a problem for them to share if something comes up that could help you along.
Not if you're good friend is a stingy piece of garbage who lies and decides to give you the the armor he has been wearing from lvl 5 to lvl 30 and say " thats the armor that just dropped for me, you should have it." LOlz. -
Jul 10, 2009exen88 posted a message on A bit of cool info about loot systemThat sounds like a good and fair way to distribute the loots. You either see it dropped from a dead monster or not. Others might get something or not. But, individually, everyone gets their own loot if loot did drop from a monster or boss.Posted in: News
The health globe does heal everyone in the party in range and that fact has been known for a long time now.
There is nothing really new here but its good to see some activity once in a while. -

Jun 30, 2009exen88 posted a message on Diablo 3 Loading ScreensNow that is what i was thinking. If WoW can do it than diablo3 should be able to do it. That same concept should go for Starcraft 2, too. SC2 seems to have a loading screen from what i seen so far. Hopefully someone can tell me that there will be an implementation to remove loading in SC2.Posted in: News

Apr 19, 2009exen88 posted a message on Ladder Reset to Accompany Patch 1.13It would be nice to see new quest and exceptionally more items. Also, new contents and changes to ladders would be great.. If there is enough content to last a whole year in this.. i would definitely play D2 LOD again.. but on the other hand, if there isn't enough content, i would just be reading news about SC2 and D3 until their releases..Posted in: News

And of coarse, complaints are good... most of the time. It means people are paying attention to the franchise, and developers can decipher whats needed in its product and come up with something for everyone without losing anything.

lolz. I recently watched "Ancient Aliens" on History and heard about the end of the world in 2012. That sounds very scary and hopefully it is false. Lolz.. but it would be sad to say that our favorite game will never even get played when it releases.. in 2012..

Again, bashiok stated that because of the weapon restriction they are allowed to dive into creating better stats in a weapon specific for a class. This is only logical as it helps the character archetype, as he said. So, in saying, it would be pointless for a wizard to wield a sword when that sword doesn't give any specific stats to the wizard. Overall, if you look at it this way, no one will use a sword or any other weapon in the long run just because they don't get anything out of that weapon.
as quoted by Bashiok...
We want variation, and experimentation, and all that good stuff. These restrictions don't affect those goals, it really just means you probably won't see a wizard lugging around a two-handed axe. Kind of a bummer, but then think about what it affords us to work on with more and better looking skills, a more robust rune-skill system, etc.
The list of what weapon types are or aren't allowed for each class aren't final and could change. They're fairly logical choices and what is most commonly seen as closely tied to the hero archetypes.

With the class restricted items being implemented, I can only hope it doesn't ruin the game in the character building aspect, anyways.

you can fill it out and see if you actually do win it.. lol but if you do end up with a free ticket somehow, just remember to pay for your own travel and stay.

A game moderation will be abused no matter what. So to say, you hate leechers and you wish they would die or disappear, well here is the thing, when you were getting rush you're basically leeching. Imagine if d3 dev team created anti-leeching. All of what they stand for will be for nothing. People won't play together, the game becomes bland because people aren't playing together, and they might lose profits from sales because people won't buy d3 . Why? it has a bad rating due to the fact that .."people aren't playing together and therefore it is boring." That's why blizzard are being open-minded and fair to everyone. Being biased is a bad thing to have.
