posted a message on No Spellbooks in Diablo 3
Blizzard realized their mistake with spellbooks soon enough, though I disagree about the runes words. Any warrior would have a mighty weapon, magical or not whether they found it or had help making it. Any sorceress would strengthen their weapon with their abilities if they could. So why are they bad specifically? I don't see a reason

posted a message on Diablo 3 Death Mechanic and Town Portal
I think that this is a step that Blizzard is taking to slowly let us off into the game experience and they are trying to hold our hand a little less. Think about it, how many time have you Town Portaled in the middle of a tense situation, ie Boss fight or the midst of 30 or so enemies, just to heal up, buy more potions or to teleport to a different location and come at monsters again from a different angle and not get surrounded. You have to admit that even though it is convenient, the town portal is a little cheap. I think that the way points are a good system and that going without Town Portals is not too bad of an issue

posted a message on have you seen family guy
OK, a little history for everyone who thinks family guy is great. Seth McFarlane, the creator of family guy worked on a different cartoon show for a little while before it got cancled. That show was "Clerks" the cartoon. For those who don't know what "Clerks" is, you know Jay and Silent Bob? Thats "Clerks". Anyways, Seth McFarlane worked with Kevin Smith while he was making this show. It got cancled and years later, using the same kind of humor, Seth McFarlane created family guy and become successful from the creativity of Kevin Smith. just fyi

posted a message on Bashiok Discusses Inventory Systems
I think that the current system works well. There is a reason a potion takes up only 1 space as opposed to the 8 of a longbow or maul. The larger or more akward the item the more space it takes up. THERES your weight system

posted a message on Sexuality and Gender in Diablo III: Beauty or Brawn?
I think that the character model is the biggest factor for me. I use a lot of WoW examples because I used to play so much, but many of the charcters I would play started male, then were re-created to female. All the night elves basically had beards which I didn't like so I made a female and there you go. Better character design, unique details and voice responses, no beards.

posted a message on Diablo 3 Bestiary: Dune Thresher
Hi. My name is Mike Rowe. Today on Dirty Jobs we team up with Blizzard as they decide on what next frivolous bit of information they will release today. Is it another monster that will be among countless others in the game? Or could it possibly be a new type of tree you will see in the scenery? Whatever it is, it is bound to get a response from the public. A dirty, impatient, pressing response...

posted a message on Diablo 2 clans [Iso]
I can understand clans in games where online interaction plays a pivotal role in game play like world of warcraft or starcraft, but in diablo i feel that clans are just an accessory for buddies to link up with each other easier...

posted a message on Diablo 3 Bestiary: Dune Thresher
As cool as it is to hear about what new enemies will be appearing in Diablo 3 I feel like the information we are getting simply isn't enough. So far Blizzard has unvieled about 4 enemies that will be in the game. Does anyone remember how many different kinds of enemies were in Diablo 2? A lot needless to say. I know I am inmpatient in this matter but to make a metaphor, if you deprive a person of food for weeks then give them a cracker, you bet that that will be the best cracker that person ever had! I'm tired of Blizzard feeding us crackers, where is the beef?

posted a message on Top 10 Coolest Moments in Diablo
I still remember the first time fighting Duriel, you enter the last chamber of a dark crypt, you look around as the music is soft and quiet, then BAM! You're stabbed many times by this giant slug guy trying to run and all you're summoned creatures die almost instantly and you TP outta there so fast you accidently drink half you potions in the process. You rest in town for a minute or two as your heart races. You finally get back into the crypt only to die immediately... Good times

posted a message on Diablo 3 Won't Have Locked Chests
Though I like the idea of not having locked chests, I'm sentimental in a way regarding them. It only makes sense that better treasures would be in chests that are more of a nuisance to get into. It also makes sense that as you progress through the game that simple things like opening chests would be a little more difficult. Maybe the locks will go, but I hope that something else will take their place like a chest guardian or a trap that reduces running speed or recovery.

posted a message on Diablofans - WWI Card Tyrael Pet Contest
Since Diablo 3 is centered around being a multi player game, there should be certain incentives to get players to interact with one another. Going so far as to make items traded from one character to another stronger or have more sockets or something of that caliber is a bit much but one thing that is important with most any game is making your character unique and distinguishable from other characters. With every trade of an item the item should be able to be altered in appearance so as to make a player's equipment more to their liking. Maybe not on the spot, but with every trade a customizable feature would become unlocked that the player would be able to pay for at the nearest merchant. Features like the color of the item, the shape of the weapon/armor, the material that the item appears to be made of, the style in which the weapon is held or the armor worn, etc. Every little aspect that can be tweaked should be able to especially when players will be interacting with so many other players online.
