Oh man, those prices are ridiculous Seniri! Don't you already have a case and power supply? Oh right you probably need a new PSU. Why do you have two storage mediums?

That's a huge video card for Diablo 3, even some modern games too. You can get a slower one to save several hundred dollars. The GTX 660/760's are a good deal now.

If you want to make it easier and do pre-built then I would go with dell. They are the only reliable PC maker, I have seen. "Gaming PC's" are a rip off. Just get a decent PC and put a nice video card in it.

AD is good as long as there is plenty, I think. I wouldn't add it unless I could get it on at least 2 slots plus paragon. If the rolls are low, then 3 slots minimum.

The truth is that there are far more pirates than interested PC gamers without a reliable internet connection. You see they took the exact opposite tack on the consoles because, in their words, most of them aren't connected.

Anything about "sanctity of online" is bull at this point. Hackers can mine the console version if they wanted to find exploits, most would transfer over with a little tweaking.

Bugs and exploits in the PC and Console versions would not carry over. They are fundamentally different pieces of software. One is designed to run on Windows XP-8/Mac OS 10.7(I think)-10.10, the other, is meant to be run on either Playstation or Xbox operating systems. I will admit, some bugs will carry over in certain circumstances. But most bugs are going to be unique to the platform. That's the way it is.

was the D2 closed battle net overrun with hacks and dupes? I only ever played offline on a LAN but remember them selling the closed battle net to players in the wake of Diablo 1 fireballs up your ass while you are shopping at Griswolds.....

did the server side "closed" battle net become overrun with dupes and cheating? I'm curious

Never played closed Bnet, I have no idea.

Oh my yes it was! "Closed Bnet" and Open Battle.net were flooded with dupes and cheating. Open, it was okay, because it was like the wild west. An attempt to get all the cheaters on a different server.

    It didn't work so well.

Closed Battle.net was a nightmare of jerks and duped items. Everybody could trade easily for high-end runes, shakos, SOJ's, whatever you want! Everybody had to password their single player only/just me and my friends games because of all the jerks trying to scam you, send spam, one shot you in a "duel". The economy meant nothing, players did not socialize like they do today. If you wanted to trade you took a big risk somebody would trick you with hacks or software or whatever. Blizz instituted the economy reset to keep a lid on all the duping. People still dupe whatever they want to this day.

Personally, I do not care for the "casual" moniker. I find it falls short of properly describing the user-friendly approach that Blizzard takes toward these complex games. A good replacement for the term "casual gamer" would be "average gamer", and when you're in the business of selling video games, you would do well to appease the common denominator, the average gamer.

Not that I support this, not that I think it's right, but I have ask; What is the difference between the average gamer and the casual gamer? Nothing much that I can see.

The title of "casual gamer" has become a derogatory term used by the enthusiast gamer (better term than hardcore in my opinion). It means "person who is the sole blame for why the designers designed 'my game' that way." At least, that is the definition when "casual" is a negative term. The enthusiast does not know why the sequel to a game they love is different. They do not understand what it takes to design a game and push it forward. Often, that means sacrificing systems and ideas from the past which do not work out anymore. Skill trees are a prime example.

Casual gamers are everywhere. Play mobile games? You are technically a casual gamer. Only by playing a game way too much can consider yourself an enthusiast of that game. I was a hardcore Diabloer back when I was unemployed. Due to having a life now, you can consider me casual. A lot of D3 players are on the casual side, only those who consider it a hobby in itself can be considered "hardcore".
