The 150 million a year is totally wrong. They make millions a month. In a year they make Billions (I did the math one day) If blizzard saved the money they made off of wow in a year they can give a dollar to every person on the planet and have some left over.

your math is < real facts

    Revenue ▲ $1.1 Billion

Maybe, though the fact is that only a few of the important people in making that string of games from '96 to '01 are still there. In the case of the Diablo team, absolutely none of the leads remain.

Metzen and Morhaime and Pardo are the only ones who matter
(and Jay Wilson left Relic for d3 and look what happened to them in his absence)

oh and Bill Roper was lost! whatever will blizzard do without Hellgate London and Champions Online quality games!

Because WoW certainly has no whiners.

    they don't whine about money

whine about classes or instances or games being too easy, sure, but 5-15-50 a month is easy to get by just begging on the corner of a street

Tyrael helps you in Diablo2 a lot giving advice and guarding the tomb of Tal-Rasha as said, he then proceeds to save the day by destroying the Worldstone, saving the day for the Hero's on Mount Arreat.

assuming that it was Tyrael at the worldstone

remember, Baal fooled the old man into giving him his soulstone

another demon could have done the same

Tyrael just sitting in the corner rezing mercs doesn't sound like good use for him though

building a character is no longer a process

respecs for free for all it matters in d2 now

^ they have a cinematic team, a movie, a mmo team, another mmo team, sc2 team, d3 team, promo teams, etc etc

that is where profit goes to

business make money or they ask for government bailouts

    get it?

I use to be like you guys and hope that I didn't have to pay for things, but if it keeps whiners out of the game... I'm inclined to want to pay per month :D

    Quote from name="Elfen Lied" »
Pretty sure you can't give people the ability to delete their own threads as the ability to delete threads is applied globally to the forum or sub forums. If you can delete your's you can delete other people's too.

While your intentions are clearly understandable and most would probably do the same, delete pointless thread they made themselves, some people would delete threads made by other people. And the mods and admins wouldn't want that to happen.

    But I could be wrong.

nah you can do session checks (like how you can edit your posts and not other peoples)

it does say you can delete posts and if you delete the original post it should delete the thread, but you can't delete that post

Uhh, blizzard makes 165 million dollars a month, not a year. If you consider that 95% of that is pure profit(which it is), that still leaves 8,250,000 for paying their employees and paying for servers.

considering that they have to have the hardware and software to handle 12 million accounts, 165mill isn't 95% profit

they also spend a lot on marketing/advertising/etc

and then you have SWE and CS people who work in a competitive market and need lots of money for cars and homes (oh and they live in failafornia and prob have to pay 200% more than they have to for those things)

people assume wow sub money goes into a giant treasure chest that can get used for w/e they want...
