So I see people say: Do Trist runs until level 15 or so. Then do Tomb runs until level 20. Then do cows until 25, then do Chaos. Is this correct? Is there really an order as to how much exp you gain based on what you're being run through?
So right now, I'm a level 22 Barbarian, where would be the fastest area for me to level up? I've completed the Normal difficulty, and I play Non-Ladder.
According to their support article, I am supposed to copy "D2MUSIC.MPQ" from the D2 Classic CD into my root installation directory. And since I also have the expansion, I am also required to copy "D2xMusic.mpq" to the same folder. I performed the Full Install and followed these steps, yet I am still unable to play without the CD. Is this is a known problem, have other people figured a work-around?
Act 1 - spike fiends ... those little lizards that shoot arrow-like shards at you. They are more annoying than the Fallen.
Act 2 - LEAPERS ... I absolutely hate these. You hit them, they do a backflip over you, and slap you upside the head.
Act 3 - Flayers ... what the hell happened here? Blizzard created a monster so annoying, i'm turning red just thinking about them.
Act 4 - Those Megademon creatures, gargoyle-like, fire-breathing hellspawns. Very nasty!
I'm playing through on Nightmare right now (D2 classic), it may be a different story once I start playing through on Hell.
Yeah I play the original D2 for now, but I am going to start playing the expansion soon. So you'd upgrade your Barb differently in LoD? What would that look like?
I am interested to see what sorts of choices people make when upgrading their Barbarian. If you could assign a number to the Skills you have, like if you've upgraded Whirlwind 4 times, just say:
Whirlwind - 4
And I am also interested to see what how your characters attributes are upgraded (strength, dexterity, etc.)
If you could either post the raw numbers (w/o enhanced or enchanted gains) or post a screenshot, I'd really be interested to see what people do with this character. I really want to stress leaving the numbers raw, because I want to get an idea of what's a good direction to take my Barbarian when I am leveling him. This is not a post your character's awesome stats thread... I'm just interested to see how people actually level their Barbarians.
