Quote fromTotally agree with you here Medi; there were lots of times in KOS where I had to read parts over and over cause I was soo confused of what was going on. Almost done with Birthright; want to be all caught up with the lore by the time the game comes out. Oh and I didn't see Demonsbane at the Blizzard shop; is it really that rare or just not supported by them?
Demonsbane is an e-book on Amazon and is included in the new diablo archives book

This is slightly related: Holy crap! Have you noticed the d3 vid showing the barb and witch doctor is just like the last campaign in frozen throne?? With the beast master and the witch doctor?

Wow dude, thats totally unecessary, give the guy a break will ya? A little Creative thought is what this forum needs and already thrives on, it keeps ppl from whining.
Who knows, Blizz may make a totally crazy character. Making a witch-doctor is already unheard of in rpg's as far as the main stream ones Ive played other than WoW.
Now I judge youre an intelligent gamer, why dont ya please edit that post i quoted to make it a little less harsh and try to be a little more understanding of Diablo fans having and sharing creative ideas. Hey man, Ive been in your position before too, so hey it happens to everyone.
I personally think the next class will be some sort of badass soldier/knight dude who is more civilised than the barbarian yet more untamed than tjhe pious paladin.

First guess, I agree its very likely that the 3 Prime Evils merge into one super-evil uber-demon because their essences merged as one in the worldstone before it was shattered, or something like that.
Second guess, the final boss will have something to do with a fallen angel, either joining to lead hell and conquer heaven or going mad/nihilistic and trying to end all existence(haha ironically this makes Hell almost seem lawful-evil incomparison eh?). Knowing Blizzard games natural "habits" it will most likely be either Tyrael or Imperius.

I would have to go for #1, I could play that demo for months and never get tired of it, Im sure itd be more exciting than doing a million baal runs in LoD.
Nice sig btw, Sweden is awesome!

The stuff with the gargoyles does make perfect sense, thx!

So if Leoric made the monastery the seat of his power, did he really rule from an underground chamber? I must have misinderstood something, cuz i think he would rule from a castle and not a subterranean vault. Yet that does coincide with his location in Diablo 1 and YET, you encounter him after you encounter the Butcher, and it describes how the King and Lazarus sent ppl into the monastery to their deaths.
And do youthink that the same entrance is used in Diablo 1 as it is in DIablo 3
MOST IMPORTANTLY: Why is there no cathedral in Diablo 2?

The new Diablo does look pretty ornamental. Even though as of now he looks awesome, i keep looking and being reminded of the horrible design of the dragon, Bahamut Sin, from that Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children movie. He looks WAY too ornamental. I hope however that I am proven wrong. Its just that I am so used to the old diablo design that could give anyone nightmares. Look at the old cinematic from Diablo 1 to see what I mean.
I am trying to like his new design, maybe I just havent seen enough to truly have a good opinion on it.
OH btw! His shoulder heads look symmetrical, BUT if you look at the artwork on the 27th page of deckard Cains journal or on the left side of the background on the barbarian's page, there are demons heads who resemble diablos shoulder heads EXACTLY. This makes the idea of his new form being a fusion more believable IMO.

Oh and btw, the design of the interior of the cathedral in d3 seems totally different from d1(bottomless pits, giant statues, etc). and did you notice that there is no cathedral in tristram in d2? Whats up with that?
Oh and how did so many zombies get inside the Cathedral? Tristra is a small town, yet there are millions of zombies inside the cathedral. I dont think they came from hell, cuz in d2 there are no zombies in hell whatsoever. Sure there may have been numerous adventurers who went into the cathedral, but not a legion of them.
Plz explain this all for me!

But if they dont make it pay 2 play, many fans will be happy and remain loyal fans of the company wich may bo good for the long term.
IMO its almost like elastic and inelastic goods (for those of you who had to take economics in high school). Just like raising gas prices, even though they are out of controll people still need gasoline. But if prices get unspeakably rediculous (like idk... $1000 per gallon, rediculous but you get my point) people will be forced to find any extreme alternative, but otherwise they will just deal with the regular crazy and not unspeakable prices.
MORPG's are seen by video game companies as THE best way to bring in money. (Thats what I heard from my uncle who works for EA) Instead of being a one-shot gamble of $50, there is a steady flow of monthly or weekly profits that continues and perpetuates itself. Thats the incentive behind giving out free one month WOW demos, even though youll think, I'll just play one month and get tired of it, you play and get hooked, and theres the trap. The whole idea is that if they can make that big step and get you hooked, they can count on you to provide a steady flow of money for a good amount of time.
We just gotta hope that Blizzard makes the game available for people who just want to pay once and keep playing without worrying about monthly subscriptions.

Japanese games are great, but so many of them are so crappy nowadays. For example compare Soul Calibur 2's version of Nightmare to Soul Calibur 4's version, the first is believable and awesome looking, the newer one follows japan's current media trend of making everything rediculously and bizarrely over-ornate and improbable. Or compare final fantasy 7 with final fantasy 12. 7 was more believable, with structurally accurate armor and stuff. Final fantasy 12 has bunny people and has ruined great characters like Bahamut and so on by making them look rediculously ornate.
Diablo games are loved by many because the armor looks more brutal and manly because it isnt rediculously frilly and ornate, its simple and believable, making it look more intimidating and frightening. The weapons are also believable, based on real and usable designs. Were Diablo 3 to go with a japanese design, the swords would be rediculously huge and so ornate they wouldnt even be believably used, or they could even turn out being keyblades(*spits on the ground and curses*)!
The point is, i have nothing against japanese culture or the existence of japanese rpg games, but i want them off of purer, darker, and more awe-inspiring series like Diablo.

I personally would say he is most similar to characters like Thor from Marvel Comics (He is a divine warrior from above who takes it upon himself to defend humanity when his fellow immortals do not care at all, mostly. JUST like Tyrael!) or Optimus Prime.
Corrupting Tyrael would be like turning Optimus Prime Evil, which would be have a VERY powerful effect on the viewers, but would essentially rob them of a hero too.
