Blizzard has an employee base of more than 600 people, now, back in the day, when they had a very small team, they were limited.
But they are NO longer limited. They can work on all kinds of stuff at once with how much money they rake in a month from WoW.

Blizzard is going around BUYING all the Diablo 3 domains, Richard Knaak has stated "I'm not writing for a dead series", all the blizzard employees answer "We may revisit that franchise in the future..." really slyly when asked questions about Diablo at blizzcon...
I mean, COME on man. This is the NEWS we've all been waiting for. Do you need a fucking sledge hammer to hit you in the face with Diablo 3 on it to realize THIS is it?

Because WoW( the initial WoW) was being made from scratch basically, maybe only extending story and all. It has WAAAY more content than Diablo franchise. And Diablo 3 was in development 4 years prior to the announcement. And it is being made with comeplety different graphics and chars and content, but nothing compared to the magnitude of the development of WoW.

I meant in a technical way, technical online experience way. What could possibly change in online play for them to assign a monthly fee?? thats what I meant.

O come on dude, what kind of content would they add to Diablo 3 that would require a monthly fee?? Expansions are another story, we pay once to buy them. The only fee that people might have to pay is for some features that will be in the new battle.net, thats it!
Paying to play in co-op mode with 3 other people is a rip off. Think of it as Diablo 2 with way better graphics, differnt classes( some), different story.. Nothing really changed in terms of playing online: Co-op mode with even less people, maybe its for the better, and chat and stuff like that.

This dude is right. Its kinda lame to p2p for a game you bought and especially a Diablo game, which isnt like WoW where a monthly fee is needed to keep the servers going and adding content and etc. But they said Diablo 3 will be co-op with 4 players per game.. I'm not going to pay a monthly fee for that, it's not worth it.
They make so much freaking money with WoW.. I would buy it but only for single player if it is actually P2P.
